𝟮𝟱. Rafe is back on the island

I was working on my motorbike outside. "Hey." What's with the sign?" Kiara said as she walks over to me. "Eviction notice. For, like, nonpayment or whatever. Doesn't matter. This place sucks anyway. Great to be back in the outer banks, right?" I say as I keep working on my bike.

"So get this. I. Uh, had an email waiting for me when I got home. John b actually found big John." Kiara said as I stop working on my bike.

"He's alive." Kiara said as she smiles as do as well. "Seriously?" I asked her. "Yeah." Kiara said as she nodded her head smiling. "He's at the Chateau." Kiara said as I get up.

"Damn." I say. "Yeah, he thinks we're close to the same treasure Singh was talking about." Kiara said as it goes silent for a bit until she takes a sit.

"Hey, look. My parents didn't even wanna let me out of the house, but I told them I had to come check on you." Kiara said.

"Well, it's not me you have to worry about." I say. "JJ, what's up? Is it something pope said? I know he's not all obsessed about what happened between me and him. We're both past that, but something's bugging you." Kiara says.

"It was just weird, what almost happened on the boat with us. It was just weird and I'm also with Hazel." I say. "Yeah, yeah." Kiara said as she stands up.

"Yeah, I mean it was... it was weird for me too, but... Not bad weird." Kiara said as she comes little bit closer to me. "No. Not bad weird." I say.

Kiara comes little bit up to me. "What are we doing?  What are we doing? We shouldn't be doing this, nah. We shouldn't do that. I got a girlfriend who I love." I say as I move away from Kie.

"Yeah." Kie said. "We shouldn't kiara!" I say. "If you say so." Kie said. "I mean, am with Hazel anyways and I love her so much." I say as I get on my motorbike and drive away as kiara yells at me to come back but I just keep driving away from her.

Hazel Cameron

"So me and Sarah went back to grab some clothes and our phones, and you're not believe this... Rafe is back." I say to kiara as sarah is next to me.

"Yeah. We saw him at the house. I don't think he saw us, but I think the cross is coming back to Wilmington tomorrow night." Sarah said.

"What?" Kie said. "Yeah." I say. "Does pope know?" Kie asked us. "No. We was gonna tell him at the Chateau." Sarah said. "He can't. He's on lockdown." Kie said.

"Okay. Um... then... me and Kie hit up pope, and then maybe Hazel go to the Chateau and tell John b and jj." Sarah said as I nod my head.

"Sure, I gotta talk to him anyway." I say. "My parents are gonna to kill me." Kiara said.

ʾִ 𑇇  𖥧 ʾִ 𑇇

I sit down on a chair waiting for JJ. I hear a motorbike as I see JJ on it. "John b! Yo!" JJ said as he turns off his bike and gets off it.

"Hey, Jay." I say. "John b not here?" He asked me. "Nope." I say as he walks to me. "What's up?" He said. "Uh, Rafe's what's up." I say.

"What do you mean?" JJ asked me. "Rafe's back on the island. Me and Sarah saw him." I say. "Spectacular." JJ said. "It's not just that. Me and her overheard him saying that the cross is coming to Wilmington tomorrow night." I say.

"Figure he must be trying to sell it." I say. "Great. Does pope know?" JJ asked me. "Yeah, sarah and Kie went to tell him. He's locked down, and I guess John b and his dad went and got the Twinkie. They're off to god knows where." I say as I show JJ the note that John b left.

"Yeah, of course. Just when we need them. Wait." JJ said. "Uh..." I say. "Hold on, through. We know where the cross is gonna be. That means it's still on the field. Okay alright." JJ said.

"So we can come in and swoop. We're still in this, Hazel. We gotta get everybody together, then we'll come up with a plan. Get our asses to Wilmington as fast as we can." JJ said going back to his bike.

"Okay see you soon." I say as he stops and turns back around and kisses my lips as I smile. "Yeah and I love you." He said. "I love you too." I say with a smile as he lets go of me and gets back on his bike and drives off.

ʾִ 𑇇 𖥧 ʾִ 𑇇

I was walking on the footpath as I see Landon with his friends. I walk over there. "Hey." I say to Landon as he turns around and see me. He hug me as I hug him back. "Oh my god. Hazel I haven't seen you since the last time I saw you." Landon said with a smile.

"Yeah it's good to be back in the obx." I say with a smile. "Uh.. these our my friends." Landon said introducing his friends to me as I smile at them. "It's nice to meet you all." I say as they just nod their heads.

"So Hazel do you wanna go out maybe not like a date of course because you and JJ but maybe as friends." Landon said as I nod my head and smile.

"Sure when?" I asked him. "Maybe on the Friday?" He asked me as I nod my head. "Yeah sure I don't mind." I say as I smile. "Cool." He said.

"Will I better get going me and my friends are going to the beach." He said. "Okay see you soon Landon." I say as I walk away.
