A WEEK LATER

As the morning sunlight filtered through the stained glass windows of Alfea. The girls made their way to Professor Wizgiz's classroom. Some of them were tired from all of the studying last night but they eventually had enough energy to make it to class.

Stella greeted them with a cheerful wave as they entered the classroom. "Good morning, girls! You look like someone who has had a bad day today."

Aria flashed a confident smile. "Thank you, Stella. It was just all that studying for Ms. Griselda's test last period. What's on the agenda for today?"

Stella twirled a lock of her golden hair, excitement dancing in her eyes. "Probably going to be another lesson on transforming an object into something else."

As Professor Wizgiz entered the classroom with his characteristic enthusiasm, the girls took their seats, eager to get it over with. The classroom watched with boredom or determination for the class to be over already. The professor cleared his throat and addressed the students.

"Good morning, class! Today, we will explore the magical art of transmutation," Professor Wizgiz announced, his eyes twinkling behind his spectacles. "Specifically, we will learn how to transform ordinary objects into delectable fruits."

Gasps of annoyance and excitement rippled through the room as the girls exchanged eager glances. Flora clasped her hands together, her green eyes shining with anticipation. "I can't wait to learn this spell! It's like bringing nature's bounty to life."

Professor Wizgiz nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Flora! Now, pay close attention. To transmute an object into a fruit, you must visualize the fruit clearly in your mind and channel your magic accordingly."

With a flourish of his hand, Professor Wizgiz demonstrated the spell, transforming a simple rock into a luscious apple. The girls watched in awe as the apple materialized before their eyes, its rich red hue and tantalizing aroma filling the air.

"Now, it's your turn," Professor Wizgiz said, gesturing to the girls.

Aria looked at the stone on her desk. Closing her eyes, she envisioned a ripe, juicy peach and concentrated her magic. With a graceful wave of her hand, she uttered the incantation, and to her delight, a peach appeared in her outstretched hand.

Flora followed suit, her connection to nature guiding her spellwork effortlessly. With a gentle whisper, she transformed a stone into a succulent bunch of grapes, each grape glistening with dewdrops.

Andrea and Hannah worked together, their teamwork fueling their magic. With synchronized movements, they transmuted a wooden figurine into a cluster of plump strawberries, their laughter ringing out in the classroom.

But as Hannah attempted the spell on her own, her brow furrowed in concentration, and she struggled to channel her magic effectively. Despite her best efforts, the wooden figurine remained unchanged, leaving her feeling disheartened.

Andrea, the supportive friend, approached Hannah with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Hannah. It takes time and practice to master new spells. You'll get there."

Encouraged by Andrea's words, Hannah nodded determinedly, resolving to keep practicing until she succeeded.

As the lesson drew to a close, Professor Wizgiz commended the girls on their progress. "Well done, class! Remember, magic is as much about perseverance as it is about skill. Keep practicing, and you will continue to grow in your abilities."

The bell rang and the girls left Professor Wizgiz's classroom. Hannah sighed, as her first attempt may have failed and she just wanted to pass the assignment. Aria, who saw this, walked next to her.
