Tanjiro and Inosuke was battling the Father Spider Demon but was separated after Tanjiro was sent flying away from the Father Spider Demon's kick.
Right now, Tanjiro is battling the leader Rui but now he is in a brink of losing the fight with his younger sister Nezuko, because Tanjiro's sword was broken. Tanjiro is injured, bleeding, and his body almost giving up.
Tanjiro developed HinokamiKagura and was so close in decapitating Rui, but Rui was cunning as the demon cut his own head before Tanjiro could. Resulting to Tanjiro's exhaustion and his body giving up after the use of his own breathing technique.
[Groaning sounds]
Tanjiro was in dire situation where Tanjiro can't stand up.
Tanjiro was battling the leader of the Spider Demon because Rui is trying to bribe Tanjiro by exchanging Nezuko for his life.
"Get up right now! Damnit! I need to protect Nezuko..." Tanjiro crawls as his limp body tried to move.
Nezuko was unconscious and injured, trying to recover after getting abused by Rui because Nezuko refuses Rui's offer.
"Oi, get up, I'm not done with you.." cold tone of Rui as he prepares his red threads to finish off Tanjiro.
Even forced by Rui, Tanjiro doesn't want to give away his younger sister because Tanjiro knows that Rui is just forcing himself to do what he likes.
"You don't understand the true meaning of family....you are just forcing yourself!" Says the angry Tanjiro.

Rui who listens to the helpless Tanjiro, answers him in calm tone.
"But now, I know the true meaning of the family...after seeing you siblings doing the family thing" Rui in his dark expression while his thread is still maintaining the surrounding, that includes his head.
Rui can remember the memory where he was trying to form a family bond by bribing other demons to be part of his family. By doing so, each member must drink Rui's blood, then Rui will do the last part by tearing their faces so they will have a new face which will resemble Rui's pact.
