I walked the streets of the Galerie with a sigh of utter disgust leaving my lips, not believing I had just been fired for the stupidest reason possible. I stared at my now uncovered hand that I had grown accustomed to over the course of several months, a bionic hand along with an arm that I had gained in the war. I didn't miss those days. But can say I'm stronger for them at least.
"Don't let what happened worry you. I wish you had told me about your arm, because there is nothing to be ashamed of! I love you just the way you are, (Y/N)." We strolled towards our house we shared with one another after a long day at the wash house, one that ended with Mrs. Scrubitt firing me because I simply couldn't do the job the way she wanted. And being the most amazing boyfriend he is, decided to quit along with me. Instead, we will continue to sell his chocolate creations to the world, and make enough sovereigns to start our own shop one day. I knew we could do it with his talent.
"You're too sweet Willy Wonka. And I love you for it." I had explained to him about my arm and what exactly happened all those months ago, seeing as how our relationship was going strong, but not super long. I was afraid to tell him in fear of him not accepting me. But it's Willy we're talking about. He's the most accepting and sweet man around.
"You've been through so much. Your story is incredible. You were so brave." That I was. I'd seen so many people killed during the course of the war when I was shipped off. A grenade had been thrown and in order to save a friend, I did what anyone should do. I guarded them. But lost my arm in the process. The pain was unbearable. But I stayed awake the entire time, even when they stopped the bleeding and eventually, I got my bionic arm, one I felt I had to cover for so long. I used a glove to cover my hand and always wore long sleeves. But because of Willy, I knew I didn't have to do that anymore.
"I'm just glad it all led me to you, Wills. You're my whole world. And I just know our dreams will come true. Because after all, everything starts with a dream." He softly wrapped his arms around me once we had reached the house I loved calling home with Willy, his soft lips connecting with mind in the most tender way imaginable. I would occasionally have nightmares from those times, but having Willy really set me at ease to the point of where it was getting better. Once I returned home, everything felt...... different. I didn't feel home anymore. Until Willy came to the Galerie. We met, fell in love, madly in love may I add, started a new home together. And have never looked back.
"I promise we will be okay! I'm selling more and more chocolate. You don't ever have to worry." And I knew he was genuine. I couldn't contain the smile from forming on my lips from how lucky I truly was. I could be myself with no worries. I felt..... free.
