Pebble

Crushing pressure of the Earth
A pebble had overcome
Shining jewels—there she found
Shimmering with neverending worth

A pebble among diamonds
Fragile and easy to break
Emitting a light so weak
A dwarf among giants

She went to look for gold
She wasted her youth
Lonely pebble melted and knew
She was never meant to be a diamond.
