Sun and Moon

67 8 8

A golden light,
A pearl that glowed
Love at first sight,
They both showed

Long before sadness,
There was always light
Long before darkness,
There was never a fight

He spoke with words
Better left unsaid
She played in chords—
Chords of regret

The moon stared at
Memories that sparkle
She went away like a cat
Love began to darkle

The sun continued to chase
Love he will never face.
