Austin and I have been talking the whole walk there. He was so easy to talk to and it wasn't awkward.
I found out we go to the same school, once I start, and that we are in the same grade. At least I'll know a couple people when I start. I usually don't like having many friends if you couldn't tell.
We finally made it to the park and there was literally 3 people there and than Austin and I. I can assume the 3 people are his friends.
"Hey guys!" Austin yelled and the boys turned around.
We met up and then went to go sit on the play ground.
"So Austin, who's this?" His friend spoke up.
"This is Sophia Woods. She's new in town." I looked down at my hands being consumed with shyness.
"Soph," Austin spoke, "this is Zach, Alex, and Robert." He pointed to each boy.
Zach had dirty blonde hair and his ears were pierced. Alex had light brown swishy hair and a beautiful smile. Lastly Robert had short black hair with brown eyes.
We kept talk and then Austin's phone started ringing.
"Hey mom." He spoke into the phone.
The boys kept talking as I listened to Austin.
"Yeah. But can my friend come over for dinner?"
He was probably talking about Rob or Zach.
"Okay. I'll make sure it's okay and then be home soon. Bye." He hung up the phone and turned to me.
"Do you want to come have dinner at my house? You don't have to if you don't want to. I just thought it would be nice."
"Sure. But warning I don't really know my way around yet so if after can you walk me home?"
"Anything you need. Don't worry." He turned to the boys and said, "I'll see you guys tomorrow I gotta go. Dinners ready." They all said there goodbyes to both of us and we walked away.
We got to his house, which if I remember correctly is about 2 blocks away from mine.
"Hey mom were here!" His voice echoed through the house.
"Hey sweetie. Dinner will be ready soon. We're having pasta."
Austin showed me around and then went back to the dining room to help set up the table. And finally I got to meet his mom.
"Hey mom this is my friend Sophia."
She was smiling a lot. She seems to be a pretty happy person from what I can tell.
"Well hi Sophia, I'm Michelle. Are you new here?"
"Yeah. I just moved here a couple weeks ago from New York City."
"Wow that's a tough move. I hope you like it here."
I hope so too..
We finished up eating and it was still early to go home.
"Soph, do you want to watch a movie?"
"Well that depends on what movie."
"I have a bunch of movies. What kind of movie do you want to watch?"
I thought hard and finally said "Either horror or comedy.."
"Okay I can do that. Let's go to the living room."
He started pulling tons and tons of movies. And there was one movie that caught my eye. Insidious. I've been wanting to watch it.
"Austin!" I yelled. It looked like he almost shit his pants.
"What the fuck? What Sophia?" He said worriedly.
"I want to watch Insidious." I giggled.
He put the disc in the DVD player and the menu pulled up and he hit play.
