5.) Going "Home"

After the movie Austin walked me home. It was one of the best movies I've seen so far. There were a lot of jump scares and had a great story line.

As Austin and I were walking we started talking about my old life.

"You know, it was tough moving away from my mom and only friend. I talk to her all the time but it's still not the same as being with her."

"It will get better. At least you already made some friends." He assured me.

"That's true." I spoke softly while looking at my feet.

"Hey if you need anything just call or text me. Give me your phone."

I handed him my phone and he typed in his number. After a minute he gave me my phone back and I put it in my pocket. We kept walking until we got to my front door.

"Do you want to come inside? I can give you a tour and meet my cat, Cinderella." I said excitedly.

"Sure if you would like to."

I pulled him inside and I showed him around while looking around for my cat.

"This is the upstairs bathroom and right here is my room. I'm just glad my dads room is downstairs so I can have a bit more privacy. He usually doesn't knock when he comes in." I told him as we sat down on my bed.

"You have a pretty big house."

"Yeah but it's not as big as my old one. But stay here I'm going to find Cinderella." I spoke as I went searching.

After about 5 minutes I found her laying under the kitchen table. I picked her up and carried her back to my room.

"I'm back! Meet Cinderella, she is my only pet and my princess. I spoil the shit out of her."

"I can tell she is pretty fat."

"Hey! Leave her fat alone! She's insecure about it."

Austin pet her and she started purring as loud as I've ever heard. " She really likes you Austin."

His phone started ringing. "It's my mom. She's probably worried."

He answered his phone as I kept petting the cat. He hung up his phone within minutes.

"Look I have to go.. Call me if you need anything. I will be over before you know it. Bye Soph."

"Okay bye Aust." He smiled and walked out the door.

I waited about 5 minutes and then decided to call him. I'm bored and lonely.

He picked up right away, "Miss me already?"

"Yes.. Also I don't think my dad is coming home tonight so it's just Cinderella and I."

"Well how about tomorrow I show you around town. I should be getting my car back so I can drive you around town. Maybe even go to a movie or lunch."

"I would love to. Oh and hey did you like my nickname Aust. It was the first thing I came up with."

"It's perfect. I love it." I could tell he was smiling based on his tone. And I'm not going to lie I was smiling too.

"Well thank you for answering. I should shower and catch up on my reading."

"You read?" He questioned.

"Yes... I enjoy it."

"Okay, I'll let you go nerd." He giggled into the phone.

"Bye Aust. See you tomorrow." I hung up and took a shower.

Once I finished the shower I put on a sports bra and sweatpants and then hopped in bed to read my book.
