I woke up at 6:30 the next morning to find my hair looking like an absolute lion's mane. ✨Great!✨ I slowly try to brush it out without detangler, but ended up using detangler anyway. Once that was done I took a quick shower and got ready for the day. As I was headed to find some breakfast I realized that I had to be the office in half an hour... it's a fifteen minute drive to get there. I opted to grab a doughnut from my favorite bakery and scoot myself across town to the Office building. I had a few minutes to spare so I hurriedly ate my doughnut before heading to my office after clocking in.

Once in my office, I booted up my monitors and pc before heading over to Mr. Ching's office down the hall to get the paperwork that needed my attention.

"Hello, Mr. Ching!" I said, walking into his office after knocking. "How are you this morning?"

"Good, good!" said the older man. "Ah! You're here for the paperwork aren't you?"

"Yes, but I also came to say hi. People rarely stop to say hi anymore. Such a shame," I replied, smiling in mock sadness before laughing. Mr. Ching also laughed before handing me the paperwork.

"Two of them are for possible projects if you pass them, the other is for purchases and financial stuff. They all need to go to your mother's office so that she can sign them, too," Mr. Ching explained. I looked through them, noting the ones that were possible projects. I nod.

"Got it! Anything else that I should know of?"

"Ah, yes! Your mother wants to have you plan our anniversary party this year. The only specifics that she said she wanted was a window of about twenty minutes for her to talk."

I sighed. "That should be fun! I'll get to work on that as soon as possible. I'll note her specification down so that I don't forget it later."

The anniversary party was at the end of the year always within three weeks of the actual anniversary of the company. Since it is currently toward the beginning of the year I have quite a bit of time.

"Anyway! I'll take my leave and get to work. Have a good day, Mr. Ching!"

"You too, Miss Lu!"

I made my way back to my office, thinking about the party. What kind of party should I do? No alcohol since the families of the workers will be attending, and nobody really wants to see a whole crowd of drunk people running about and bumping into each other. That would just be a nightmare. I'm thinking formal, but still fun. We should probably also have an area for the kids since kids tend to get a little anxious and squirmy. Trust me, I know. I have two younger brothers who were absolute maniacs when they were younger.

I made it back to my office, putting thoughts of the party away for later consideration, before sitting down to focus on the papers in front of me.

The first was another permission slip, but this time for a new forklift for the warehouse. Stapled to the slip was an explanation on why they needed a new one. The reason was that the electrical was wearing out, leaving room for a potential disaster. Nope! We can get that fixed, and getting it fixed will most likely be cheaper. We don't exactly have infinite money. I grabbed a different sheet of paper, writing out the order to hire somebody to fix it.

The second one was a potential project. It was an idea for some new designs for a product. I scanned the design, noting both the strengths and flaws. But, unfortunately, there were more flaws than strengths. Grabbing another sheet of paper, I wrote down the reason for not accepting and permission to keep working on the design.

The third and final one was the other project idea. It was for a new comercial. It turned out to be a pretty good idea after I read through it. The idea laid out all our good points and the different products we do while still being funny and eye catching. I signed it off.

After finishing the paperwork, I grabbed the two that needed to go back and the one that needed to be passed up before heading back to Mr. Ching's office. After dropping the two that need to go back down at his office, I headed up a few levels to my mother's office.

I knocked on the doors to her office.

"Come in!" came the muffled yell from inside. I opened one of the doors, entering her office. I walked to her desk, setting the papers down in front of her.

"This is a project for a comercial. I believe it to be a good idea, but you know more than me on these matters," I explained as she picked up the papers. She scanned them then nodded.

"Write up a budget for it and arrange everything for this from the set to the type of clothes the people in the comercial are wearing. I want to see how well you do. Consider this part of your training to take over the company. You will have to deal with this type of thing a lot." She said, setting the papers down and signing it off before handing the papers back to me.

"Very well. I will get to work. Good day, Mother." I said, turning around and leaving the room.

Oh boy. I'm going to be up for a while working on this.

I got to my office, setting the papers down next to my keyboard. Opening email, I took care of all the emails in my inbox before proceeding to try to find a good film crew to film the comercial. I also needed to find a makeup stylist, a hair stylist, an editor, and employees willing to play parts in the comercial.

I worked all day and well into the night, noting down all the possible people I could hire, sending out a general email to all the office employees to see who all would be willing to act in the comercial, finding out who had come up with this project in the first place, getting a budget set, and getting a script written out. Once that was all done along with the miscellaneous things that kept the business as a whole up and running it was at least midnight.

I sighed, shutting down my computer for the night. I'm tired and very hungry. I traveled down to the company canteen, after collecting my stuff from my office, to go to one of the vending machines to find a snack. I found some (preferred snack) and a (preferred drink). That should tide me over till I can find a convenience store or something.

I clocked out for the day and left the building to to get some food.

After driving around for a bit I found a convenience store and got some actual food before driving home.

Once home, I ate my food, cleaned up for the night, and went to bed so exhausted that I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
