"Been a Long Time"

Chapter 17: Fixing

I was still sitting in the lounge in the ZGDX base, fighting with netizens, hoping that this situation will blow over soon. But, knowing TAT, they will take full advantage of this and try to tear ZGDX down.

As I'm working on being a backup admin for the chat room I realize that I should probably do some work for my actual job so that I'm not so backed up with work the rest of the week. I should do most my at home paperwork today and tonight so that I don't have to worry about it later.

Man, I am lonely! All I have to do is work and hang out here, mainly work, though. I should really go out more, but I don't really want to. 

Dismissing my thoughts, I shut down the program I was on for my administration work then got ready to go home.

"Cheng! I'm headed home for a while! I should be back again before the end of the week!" I shout from the front door.

"Ok! Do you want a ride home?" Cheng yells from somewhere further in the building.

"Nah! I came here in my car. See you later, guys!"

A chorus of 'goodbye's were shouted out from the other team members of ZGDX.

I left through the door, dragging my things with me to my car before getting in and driving off toward home.

This whole situation is stressful, along with my inability to help due to the mountains of work for my actual job. Man, I wish I could quit, but that isn't an option due to my being the only one left with the ability to be the owner of the company. Putting that aside, though, I thought about the several different projects I would have to run through today along with other paperwork and such. It's going to take a while. I can already tell. Once I'm done with my paperwork, I will probably go back to administrating the comments again. Who knows.

I let my mind wander until it comes to Heirophant, the amazing player that my brother is friends with. He will probably play tonight... should I play tonight? You know what? I will. I need to relieve some stress, regardless, and playing will help.

I surface from my thoughts as I pull into my driveway. Sighing, I pull my things from my car and head to my front door, unlocking it before dumping all my stuff next to the door. I turned, closing and locking the door before picking my stuff back up and bringing it to my room. Dropping my bags on my bed, I started unpacking before grabbing some snacks before sitting down at my desk to start my work.

Hours later I was finally done with my work and administrative work so I could play for a while. Logging on, I play for a while before finally meeting Heirophant in one of the games.

Heirophant: 'Hello, (Gamer Name [GN]). I hope you are doing well!"

(GN): 'Hey, dude! I'm doing well, you?'

Heirophant: 'Doing well here! Do you live in Korea?'

(GN): 'No, Iive in Shenzhen, China. My family lives in this city, too.'

Heirophant: 'Nice! I was near there recently and will be back again, soon.'

We continued to chat as we gamed well into the night. He's really nice person to talk to, not gunna lie. He's very nice and funny when he wants to be. He has a seriousness about him, but can subtly joke, too. I like this Heirophant just as much as when I met him the first time. I can tell, now, why he and Cheng got along so well.

(GN): 'Well, I gotta log off, now. I, unfortunately, have a whole lot of work to do tomorrow and will need sleep.'

Heirophant: 'I understand full well. Goodnight, (GN).

(GN): Goodnight, Heirophant!
