The Promise

Matt's POV

I've got to admit, I am a little sad that Emma wasn't here with me today. Okay and I was a little jealous that she was hanging out with another guy but she did say he was just a friend. I should trust her right? I need to give her some freedom, she gives me it. A few seconds later after thinking, my phone buzzed and Princess😘 appeared on my screen. "I'm on my way. Meet me at the inside pool area." I guess I'm going to the pool later. Currently I'm in Carter's room and watching tv with some of the others. "Guys I'm going back to my hotel room 'cause I have to do something." I said. I left the room and went into mine and Emma's. I got out a swimsuit from my bag and put it on. I texted Carter saying I was going to go to the pool and I should be back later. I slipped on my shoes and shirt then went downstairs and to the swimming area. I waited about 10 minutes until finally Emma walked in the room. "So..." I said. "I told you I was going to make it up to you. Some me and you time should work." she replied with a slight grin. She set down all of her stuff and took off her shoes. Following her shoes came her top and jeans, which she had a bikini under. I took off my shirt and shoes and jumped into the water. "HOLY S*IT THIS IS COLD!" I yelled. Emma giggled and I started shifting to the stairs. I got out and walked towards her. "No no no no. NO MATT GET AWAY FROM ME!" she yelled attempting to run away. I caught up with her and gave her a big wet hug, picked her up, and spun her around. "MATTHEW LEE ESPINOSA!" she yelled a bit louder. She pretended to fake cry just so I would put her down. Not listening to her, I walked over to the water once more and pretended to throw her in. I didn't but it was funny to see her reaction. "You know I wouldn't actually let you go right?" I said looking at her in my arms. "I would hope not." she answered. I set her down and asked, "So are you going to go in the pool or are we just going to stand here?" "Stand here." I gave her a blank stare. "Just kidding. Try and catch me!" she yelled and jumped into the water. I followed her and swam as fast as I could. She was already on the other side when I finally caught her. I pulled her into my arms and she laughed trying to squirm her way out. "I got ya and you're not getting away." I said and looked into her pretty blue eyes. "Promise me you won't leave me. Please..." I whispered, loud enough for her to hear me. "I promise. I love you Matthew." she answered smiling. "I love you more Emma." I leaned in and kissed her passionately, then pulled her under the water.

Next morning

I woke up with Emma snuggled right up against me. We went back up to our room at around midnight after going out and messing around some more. I slowly got out of bed making sure to not wake her up. On my way to the bathroom I got my phone and checked for any new messages. None. I set it down on the counter and then took a shower. Once I was done I rapped a towel around my waist and went to grab my clothes. Emma was up and laying down on her phone. "Good morning." I said trying to act normal. "Morning." she said back. "You tired?" I asked and sat down next to her for a moment. "Yeah, a little bit I guess." she answered. "Okay. Well remember we have an event today so start getting ready sometime soon." I stated. "I will once you're done with the bathroom. Go and get dressed now." she said with a little laugh. I did what she said. After, I did my hair and put on a beanie. "Your turn." I said with a smile. "Okay then I'm going to take a shower." she said getting up. "I'm going to probably be in one of the guys' room so text me when you're done so I can tell you where I am." "K I will." she said. I walked out the door as she went into the bathroom. I knocked on Carter's door to find everyone else in there as well. They all looked at me. "Did you have fun with Emma last night?" Taylor yelled across the room giving me a smirk. "Yeah a lot." I answered. "Where is-" Cameron started but I cut him off. "She's in the shower." "And you're not with her?" Taylor asked. I gave him a dead stare and he turned his focus back to his phone. "Bro is there something wrong?" Carter asked. "Ye... no. No there's not. I'm just tired that's all." I said back looking towards the ground. "Are you sure?" he asked again. "Uh yeah... okay so what time does the event start today?" I answered while trying to change the subject. "1:30" "Got it. I'll be right back." I said. I quickly walked back out of the room and down the stairs. I went outside to think. I haven't felt more confused in the longest time. I brushed my hand through my hair and took a deep breath. What happened to when she promised me?

This chapter has been done for almost a week now and I keep forgetting to post it. Tomorrow morning I have to wake up at 6 to fly to Georgia with my friend so yay😒 Anyways, I'm meeting Taylor again when he comes to Illinois for the rv tour with my friends so that should be a lot of fun. I'm also meeting Matt when he comes to Chicago finally! I've been waiting for the longest time cause last time for digi I wasn't in state. I wanna meet up with someone there but I don't know who is going so if you are hmu😊 byyyeeee👋🏻
