The Day Has Come

Emma's POV

Two weeks later

I woke up to my mom rubbing my shoulder. "It's time to go to the the airport" she said excitedly. "Where are we going" I stated obviously tired and still half asleep. "Your meeting Kaitlyn in Alabama today at her house" she answered back. Well that was enough said to make me jump out of bed and get ready. I was going to be on the airplane all day so I just put on leggings and a white tank top. I then went to the bathroom and did the rest of my morning routine. I ran downstairs and I saw that my mom had made me breakfast. "I knew you wouldn't be awake enough to make yourself something, so I made you this" she says as she points to the pancakes and bacon that is sitting on the counter. "Thanks" I told her. I finished my breakfast and went to put on some shoes. As I slipped on my vans I noticed that there was a car waiting outside our house. It already had all of my luggage in it but who's was the other? "Mom! Who's luggage is in the car with mine?" She ran up to me and yelled excitedly "that's mine! I'm coming with." Great now I have to not only worry about myself but I also have to worry about her too. Oh sorry, did I mention she tries to be cool (she never succeeds) and she tries to act younger than she is. She is basically like a big teenager, she doesn't listen too well either. I ran upstairs to make sure I grabbed everything I need and I grab my phone, it's charger, and my headphones. When I get back downstairs my mom is already in the car. I walk out the door and lock it. I decide to text Kaitlyn because I don't feel like talking to my mother because I'm mad that she didn't tell me she was coming.

E: Hey

K: Hi what's up

E: I'm in the car on the way to the airport

K: Ok I can't wait until you get here

E: Me too. I'm so excited.

K: And be prepared for a surprise for when you "leave"

E: Wait. What do you mean when I "leave"

K: Just wait. You'll love it

E: Ok. Bye got to go. We are at the airport

K: Ok bye. See ya when you get here

As we reached the airport we got our bags and got on the plain.

Skipping the airplane ride

We got our bags and walked around for a little bit. It took us 10 minutes of looking until I saw Kaitlyn. I started screaming, crying, and running. "KAITLYN" "EMMA" we yelled across the airport getting funny stares.
