King touched a book called The Unauthorized Boiling Isles History, with the author's name burned off.

"The Boiling Isles," He opened up the book as he started narrating. "Born from the flesh and bones of a fallen Titan. This original magic was so potent, all life on the Isles evolved to wield magic, too. For years, we explored those powers freely until a mysterious witch appeared who declared that he, and he alone, could speak to the island. He said that we were using magic all wrong. His teachings took hold, his strength grew, and he became...Emperor Belos."

Hazel continued the narration, "Belos claimed that mixing magic was wrong, and that only he had the right to correct this chaos. So he established the coven system. And there, our knowledge was limited and our potential was locked away. Those who resist are referred to as 'wild witches' and incur severe punishment. Emperor Belos has since retreated to his fortress. There are hints that he is preparing something major. I wonder if catching Eda was part of his grand scheme. What are your thoughts, girls?"

He and King looked up at Luz, who was staring out the window. Bijou sat on a chair, her head dropped over the table.

"Girls?"

Luz examined the letter Eda placed on the cloak, which said, 'To a young witch, from her proud mentor, Eda.' Bijou's note said the same thing.

"I don't care what Belos is up to," Luz sprang up, determined. "Because today, we're saving Eda!"

She put on her cloak, and Bijou did the same with hers.

Luz unlocked the weapons closet door first, followed by Bijou.

"Luz, what are you doing?!" King inquired as he and Hazel entered the room.

"This is serious, King," Luz said as she removed an axe from the wall, struggling to carry it. "Eda used her powers to save us and got caught by Lilith. Now she's the Owl Beast and has been taken before the Emperor."

"We can't just leave her there," Bijou shook her head, determined. "I don't know what kind of punishment he will put on Eda, but the point is, Luz and I are going to rescue her."

Bijou took a spear, while Luz chose a kris.

"Haven't you guys been listening to me and Hazel? He's the Emperor," He held out the book, alarmed. "He's the most powerful witch alive."

"Remember when his guards apprehended you? You didn't even know any magic," Hazel added.

"That was then. This is now. After understanding a lot about the magic instilled in this bangle, I can face that tyrant directly," Bijou said.

"King, Hazel, please try to understand," Luz said quietly, bending down in front of him. Bijou joined her side. "Eda is in this situation because of us, because of my stupid choice and Bijou's willingness to get involved in this plan. We have to make up for it."

"But she's in her Owl Beast form; how will she recognize you?" King pointed out.

"I don't know. But we have to try anyway."

"I myself have hope that she will. She recognized you when you did your little squeal, right?" Bijou said with a sardonic smile.

"Well, then, we're going too."

"Guys..." Luz started.

"King, me, and Eda don't always see eye to eye, but we still consider her as a friend and as family," Hazel went on to say. "We want her back as much as you guys do."
