Who IS she?

the atmosphere was bustling, there were so many actually cool people, the music was so loud and energizing, i was hypnotized.

- ellie, ELLIE you here?
i slightly jumped.
- yes.. yes sorry i just got carried away.
- we do NOT have the time to get carried away, listen to me, you have to be focused- said natty.
- how can i focus in a place like this? everything is just..... too much.
- you're probably overstimulated, try to calm down and look at this opportunity as your last chance - haechi said.
- that's what i've been doing and its not really helping me.

THE BATTLE STARTS

oh my god, these people are monsters, in a good way, of course. i actually really enjoyed watching these dancers.
everyone was cheering for each other, turns out its not as scary as i imagined it to be.

- oh oh oh its her! - said haechi while smirking.

i looked at the next contestants, one was a girl with a strong looking face and a bit of an  intimidating appearance and the other one was....... perfect.
- what did you say ellie? - asked natty with a confused face
- me? oh, nothing?
- i thought you said something about being perfect, okay nevermind, its probably because all this noise. 

wait... i said this OUT LOUD? omg, i should really come to my senses. what i MEANT, WAS that the other girl was dancing perfectly. she had blonde-ish orange hair, she actually moved like water, my eyes were glued on her the entire time. 

who IS she? - i said while watching the battle
oh, her? she's chocol, our friend, she has some sick moves actually.

*cue the battle video*

- ellie, ELLIE. oh here she goes again!

i snap back out of my hypnotized state

- listen natty im sorry! i have a lot of my mind actually.
- well now you have to empty your mind since its going to be your turn in like 10 minutes
- 10 minutes... 10 MINUTES? oh no, oh no i'm not ready
- calm down it's going to be ok!
- can i at least know who am i competing with?
- the one who wins this battle.
- w-WHAT?
- oh, you didn't know?
- how could i know?

 3....2....1 JUDGES!

AND THE WINNER IS.... CHOCOL! CONGRATULATIONS

this is gonna be one hell of a ride...

oh! you're going to compete with chocol, she's my friend! - said haechi and smiled at me. - she's a very experienced battler and she's going to be mad at me for this, but i can tell you her weak points and how to provoke her.

haechi whispered some things in my ear and i actually thought that i stood  a chance against this cho- what was her name? chocolate? ? chocol? yeah,chocol, since i knew all her weak points now.

THE NEXT BATTLERS ARE CHOCOL AND OUR NEWCOMER, ELLIE

the crowd cheered

...im panicking, my hands are sweating. i'm going to battle with one of the best freestylers in this country? and are my eyes lying to me, or is she fine as hell? that's not going to help me.

Natty and Haechi cheer me on while i go to the dance floor.
I saw her coming up as well, and honestly, she didn't look as aggressive as other dancers and it calmed me down a bit.

the music started and she was going first. the way she moved was... immaculate. i realized that we had such similar dance styles, since i used a lot of floorwork too, but her's just hit different...

crowd was cheering so loudly for her,  since she had all these killer moves. i didn't even have time to feel nervous since all i was focusing on was her.

AAAAND 3....2.....1... SWITCH

CHOCOL'S POV

she is actually not so bad for a newcomer?
wait is she... provoking me?  not bad, new girl.
i looked at haechi and yeni, haechi smiled, i knew it was her "doings" .


JUDGES... READY? 3...2..1
ITS A TIE

a tie? seriously? i can't believe a newcomer almost made me lose, focus chocol. you got this.


ELLIE'S POV

a tie? A TIE? OH MY GOD, I ALMOST DID IT. i did not even care about winning, because i was so proud that i actually battled and the crowd cheered so much, especially when my opponent was an attractive, handsome, fine- i mean.. an experienced battler.

CHOCOL'S POV
I felt like i was losing concentration because this girl... she was ...hot.. and i didn't like it. i felt like i forgot all my moves because i was staring at her too much.

JUDGES... READY? 3...2..1

AND ELLIE WINS WITH A 2:1 SCORE! CONGRATULATIONS

ELLIE'S POV

i stood there for a moment, not even realizing my name has been called.
natty rushed to hug me - ELLIE YOU DID IT, YOU DID IT!
- w-what? i ... i DID IT????? I WON?
- YES YOU WON! AND AGAINST CHOCOL!!

i was in such shock, i never expected to win against an amateur, let alone a pro battler.

CHOCOL'S POV
this girl... she really won, huh?
 i felt like i needed to be angry, but i couldn't help but feel..wait...did my heart rate just go up? and its not because of anger...i hated the way she made me feel.

ELLIE'S POV

- oh Ellie! congrats! i was looking for you, i want you to meet some dancers, shall we go? - said haechi
i nodded my head and went along with her
- so this is halo - she was talking about the girl i called intimidating, but i realized she was not scary outside of her "battle mode" - this is yeni, mini, babysleek and this is,as you may already know, chocol.
yeni: "you did so well!"
mini: "yeah you were a lot better than most veteran dancers, let me tell you that."
chocol: "oh so it was you, who haechi was tellling me about on the phone ?" - she said with a firm tone

i did not have a chance to reply normally since natty was dragging me, but i still managed to thank them and left to celebrate my win.

CHOCOL'S POV

Mini: "what did you girls think about todays battles?"
Babysleek: "I liked when that newcomer beat choco's a** today"
Mini: "that was legendary"
*everyone laughs*

oh god, for how long are they going to tease me?

- Choco, you look defeated, how are you feeling? - Yeni said and laughed.
- Normal.
- Normal? 
mini: she's angry ahahahha, you were staring at her the whole time choco, what's up?
babysleek: she got a brand new rival, she should be happy
mini: brand new enemy, i'd say! or perhaps.. a frenemy? enemies to lovers? 
i could NOT admit that i found the new girl impressive...i had to say something else
- i am NOT ANGRY, she was just not even that impressive, her moves looked like every other dancer's moves. she looked like Honey J's copycat, tbh. i tried lying shamelessly. and  i'm just really annoyed that she made me lose concentration, if it was not...her.. i would've won. i just think it's unfair that a total newcomer who hasn't worked as much beat me, that's all..
haechi: so you even lost focus because you were so angry at newcomer beating you? wow, you really do dislike her! why are you getting red all of a sudden?
- I'm not-

ELLIE'S POV

I was going backstage when i heard what the girl i competed with me thought about me. really? REALLY? DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO FALL FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE ME? I was heartbroken and discouraged, i wanted to impress everyone, i wanted to impress her, but the opposite happened, maybe battling is not the thing i should be doing...

CHOCOL'S POV

girls rushed out of the backstage room to greet other dancers and only me and yeni were left.
yeni: not that impressive,huh? choco, i know you, you were eyeing her, weren't you?
chocol: no it was just- what? no. but i do kinda accept my loss..she had a wow factor and she was fine as well...... i-i mean she had some fine movements as well. i just didn't wanna admit it in front of everyone
what am i even saying?
- yeah... fine movements...sure...- said yeni while smirking at me.  why do you always feel the need to hide your emotions?
 i said nothing in return.

Mini: girls, are you not coming to the bar? - said mini from other room

I'm too tired to go, i'd rather sleep - i said.
you're no fun choco! - yelled haechi angrily.

ELLIE'S POV

"Ellie, you HAVE to come to the bar, please please please" - begged natty
- I'm sorry nat, i'm too tired and i'd rather go home and sleep, this day was a rollercoaster.
- haechi! you heard that? she said she's not coming, she's no fun.
haechi laughs - she's just like chocol

a fine lady, a pro dancer and a homebody? oh god....
