Erika and Francis made the final preparations for their upcoming wedding, focusing on getting their dresses ready. Erika wasn't particularly looking forward to the dress fitting; feeling beautiful these days seemed like a distant thought. The idea of walking down the aisle with her belly prominently on display added to her apprehension.
Why did she even agree to push for this wedding given her current state? They could have easily postponed it until after she gave birth. However, instead of expressing her desires, she went along with the plan, so now she feels she has no right to complain about it.
She breathes deeply.
"May kasama ka ba sa boutique later?" Francis asked while he was preparing for work.
"Yes, sasamahan ako ni Trixie" she replied.
"Ito ba yong college friend mo?" Tanong nito.
"Yes, one of these days I'll introduce her to you" Erika uttered.
Francis nodded his gaze filled with passion. "Call me if you need anything, be careful on your way there, okay?" Tenderly, he pressed a gentle kiss on her and their baby.
"Ikaw din Francis, ingat ka sa pagmamaneho." She smiled at him.
Eager to catch up, Erika swiftly ready herself for the appointment, she chose a more comfortable outfit and applied light make-up. When she was satisfied, she took her purse and placed her essentials, credit card, and phone. She agreed to meet with Trixie sa isang coffee shop near the boutique. It had been a while since they last connected, and the excitement to reunite was palpable. When she told her that she was getting married Trixie was adamant about meeting so she could ask her firsthand the gossip of her love story. Erika shook her head but decided to just go for it.
When she arrived at the coffee shop, she carefully entered and smelled the freshly brewed coffee beans. She scanned the room around and saw Trixie waving her hand at the far-left side. She walked towards her and greeted her warmly.
"You look even more radiant! Is this a wedding glow effect?" Trixie commented.
Erika smiled. Not fully sure if she believes her words.
"I can't believe that you're getting married! Parang kailan lang na naghiwalay kayo ni Elliott and now, you found the one for you!" She shrieked. "Kailan mo ako ipapakilala?" Trixie asked.
"We can arrange that. Thank you for joining me today, Trixie, scouting for a dress seems stressful, mabuti nalang at kasama kita" Saad ni Erika.
"Ako ang bahala, we will find the perfect dress for you" she uttered with optimism.
After their quick catching up, they crossed the street to where the store was located, Erika and Trixie were greeted by one fine lady who confirmed their appointment and ushered them to a room where all the dresses were stocked and compiled.
"Ako nga po pala si Steph I'll be your assistant for today" pagpapakilala nito.
They both roamed their eyes at pareho silang nalulula sa dami ng mga damit na nakahilera sa bawat sulok.
"Gusto niyo po bang makita ang mga bagong collection namin?" Tanong ni Steph.
Trixie looked at her, she smiled but shook her head. "Instead of me looking blindly, can you help me find the type of dress I wanted instead?" Erika asked.
"Yes, we can do that, what style do you have in mind?" Steph asked her.
"Can you find me a flowy wedding dress, probably a tube type that would hide my growing belly?" she specifically asked.
