wilbur warning
---
George woke up, stretching. He gently pushed Dream's arms away, the other man rolling over and snuggling into the covers.
George got out of bed, pulling a hoodie on as he stepped over Sapnap and walked into the kitchen.
"Well, well, well," said a voice. "I haven't seen your face in a few good years."
George looked around, and saw Wilbur sitting on the couch, his scarlet eyes narrowed.
Tommy was there too, asleep on the couch next to his brother.
"Now, now, no need to be hostile," Phil said, handing a glass of blood to George. George drank it, licking his lips, and sat down.
"So, as Phil told me, Techno's a vampire hunter, and is trying to hunt after all of us," Wilbur said, sitting up. He raised an eyebrow.
George nodded, crossing his arms. Patches trotted out of the guest bedroom, curling up next to George, her ears flicking. George patted her.
"So, what do we do?" Wilbur turned to Phil, and Phil shrugged.
"Well, we need to get rid of Techno, right?" George rubbed his eyes. It pained him to suggest it, but it was the only thing he could think of.
"We're not going to kill him." Phil looked around at the others.
"Phil, he's going to kill us if we don't," George insisted.
"I don't care," Phil insisted. "He was our friend, and-"
"Are you sure about that?" Wilbur argued. "What if he was just being all friendly to get close to us and kill us?"
"Wilbur, I don't-"
"What's going on?" Dream asked as he walked in, sleepily rubbing his eyes. The vampires quickly stopped arguing about their predicament.
Phil smiled, hiding the flasks of blood. "Good morning, Dream!"
Dream sighed, sitting down next to George. "Wilbur? Tommy? What are they doing here?"
Wilbur snorted. "Couldn't have just asked me yourself, could you?"
Phil sighed. "I told them about what happened, and they came over."
Dream nodded, apparently having taken that as a good enough answer, and turned his focus to Patches.

After that, the three vampires didn't have much time to discuss their plans. They had decided not to tell Tommy, just in case they did decide to do something violent against Techno.
At one point, Phil pulled George aside. "Listen. Techno might already have found out where we are, and we need to make a plan. You have to tell Dream and Sapnap that you're a vampire."
"No." George shook his head desperately.
"Why not? Why are you so afraid of them finding out?" Phil demanded.
George looked away. "I- I just- I don't know. I can't."
Phil was about to say something else, but he was called away. He gave George a glance, sighed, and walked off.
--
Time kept ticking until dinnertime came, and they all sat around the table.
"George, do you think we should cook that meat more? It looks a bit undercooked," Sapnap commented.
George shook his head. "No, it's fine."
Sapnap shrugged, turning back to his own meal. "Just saying, 'death by bad chef skills' is a pretty lame thing to have on your gravestone."
They mostly ate in silence after that, with the exception of tommy, who was excitedly jabbering about something involving Tubbo. George didn't care to listen, though, and he was finishing up his mostly raw chicken thigh when he heard something snap outside.
He frowned, sitting up. He peeked out the window. He didn't see anything, though, and he frowned, turning back to the group.
"Phil-"
Before George could say anything else, the lights flickered and went out. The air purifier slowed to halt.
"Did someone just cut the power?" Tommy frowned.
A silver axe flew through the window and impaled itself in the wall right where George had stood a second prior. "The hell-?"
Another axe flew through, thankfully knocking George down with the handle, and Techno leapt through after it. Phil leapt forward. Techno grinned.
"Well, well. Look at this. I came here looking for one of you and found all four," Techno laughed as George staggered to his feet.
"W-what do you mean, all four, Techno?" Dream asked, shaking slightly. "You can't possibly believe that-" He was cut off and shoved out of the way as Wilbur leapt forward and sunk his fangs into Techno's neck, slamming him against the wall.
"What the fuck?!" Sapnap yelped, scooping up Patches and holding her against his chest.
Techno stabbed Wilbur in the arm with a stake, and Wilbur yelped in pain, stumbling back.
George ran over, and Wilbur pulled the stake out. "It's fine. It's the silver things that we need to worry about."
Phil threw a chair at Techno. "We need to get out of here!"
"We can't keep running!" Wilbur yelled back.
"When we have them with us, we do." George nodded in the direction of Dream and Sapnap, not wanting to look at them directly. He caught a look of shock from Dream anyway.
"Well then, how do we get out of here?" Wilbur screeched, dodging one of Techno's silver daggers.
"We fly," Phil grunted, slamming Techno's head against a wall and knocking him out. He jumped into the air and large, batlike wings spread out from his shoulders. He broke open the ceiling before grabbing his wife's arm, pulling her onto his back.
"We can FLY?" Tommy yelped, and Wilbur nodded.
"Yeah. I guess we just never bothered to tell you, because, I don't know, we have more important things to worry about. Like living." Wilbur also leapt into the air, grabbing Sapnap by the shoulders and following Phil. Sapnap was so surprised he dropped Patches.
George turned to Dream, but Dream immediately made a movement towards Tommy.
"Think you can handle it?" Dream asked, ignoring George.
Tommy sighed and jumped into the air, grabbing Dream with surprising ease. George ignored the pang of guilt in his chest, grabbed Patches, and followed the others.
--
The moon was bright in the night sky, and everyone flew in silence. They were following Phil, who, judging by the position of the moon, was flying southeast. George stared straight ahead, Patches in his arms. He didn't dare look to the side, knowing he'd see the look of betrayal and anger on Dream's face.
