"Come on, you can get higher than that!" Dream laughed, flapping his wings and rising above George.

"Come on-" George huffed, flying after his boyfriend. "How come you can fly better than me, when you've only been a vampire for a month?"

Dream shrugged, tapping him on the head with a foot. "Guess I'm just better, hm?"

George sped towards him in a burst of energy, tackling him, and Dream yelped, too surprised to keep flying. The two fell out of the air, and Phil caught them easily, bringing them to the ground.

"Careful, you two. You may be vampires, but you can still snap all your bones from falling a few hundred feet."

Dream shrugged, standing up. "Come on, old man. Let me live a bit. I'm a VAMPIRE now. I can drink BLOOD!"

"Yeah, we could hear you and George experimenting with that very loudly all the way to 3 am last night," Wilbur yelled from where he was, fixing the walls of the castle.

"Hey, at least we found out that sugar and blood doesn't taste good, right?" Dream made a motion like, what're you gonna do?

"And that blood and crystalised fruit is probably the best thing known to vampirekind," George added, and Dream nodded.

Sapnap sighed from his hammock, hanging from two nearby trees. "I wish I were a vampire."

"You really don't." George looked over. "You either have to put a protective sunscreen on every day or drink a disgusting potion every other week. Otherwise you shrivel up in the sun."

"Yeah? Well, guess what." Sapnap twisted his body in the hammock to face George. "You'll watch me shrivel up anyway, as I grow old before dying, while you just keep living on."

"Alright, fine. We'll bite you sometime soon, when we're not busy, okay?" Dream told him.

George frowned as his friends started arguing.

"So, while they do that," he started, walking over to Kristin, "how did Dream turn into a vampire when I kissed him?" Because, as it turned out, she was very knowledgeable in things around vampires and other creatures.

"I was thinking about that too," she said as she petted Patches, who curled around her shoulders. "So, you know those stories where one person comes back to life with a kiss? True love's kiss or whatever?" George nodded. "Well, as it turns out, most of those stories originated from vampire tales or were made by other creatures who knew about vampires. Basically, if a vampire loves someone enough, they can kiss them, and they'll become a vampire. It's weird and complicated, so that's just the basic summary."

"Interesting." George looked back at Dream, and Dream smiled.

Tommy landed next to the group. "Well, I just finished planting the poppies around techno's grave." He brushed the dirt off his hands. "George, why do we have to bury him and plant flowers for him, when he literally killed our family and almost killed us? Why can't we just toss him in the river?"

George sighed. "Well, I was able to talk to him. and... well, it was kind of justified, in a way. Our race massacred and destroyed his family and species, leaving him the only one."

"Mm. Sure." Tommy flapped his wings and flew off, going to join his brothers.

George walked around to the back of the castle, to where Techno's grave was, sitting next to a large tree. He kneeled, looking down at the freshly dug dirt. Quietly, he pulled out Techno's crown and placed it on the gravestone. He sat there for a few more moments, before getting up and walking back toward his family.
