They were all silent as they landed, George's wings folding back into shadows. Tommy dropped Dream on the ground before the humans, as well as Tommy, started glancing in every direction.

"Where are we?" Dream asked, looking a little frightened.

"Home," Phil responded calmly.

In front of them was a structure that George recognized as his family's old castle. The bricks were crumbling, and one of the towers had completely fallen, but otherwise it was intact.

"So this is a vampire lair or something?" Sapnap crossed his arms.

Phil nodded. "Yes, but we call it home."

He beckoned to the others, walking towards the main doors. They were charred and blackened from the fire that had ravaged it a few hundred years ago, but otherwise, they were fine.

The group walked into the main hall, and Tommy gasped at the tall windows of stained glass, the moonlight shining through onto the scorched, dusty carpet.

George tried to approach Dream, but his best friend walked over to Sapnap, and the two of them started whispering. George looked away, guilt building in his chest.

They went into the meeting hall at the end of the main hall. George looked over the elongated table that stretched the length of the hall, remembering how his parents would meet with other vampires here.

Phil set down his things and walked over to a cabinet, opening it and peering inside.

"Oh, good. There's some food here." He pulled out some vials of blood. He opened one and sniffed it, before drinking the whole bottle down. Sapnap gagged. The other vampires gulped down their own vials, and Kristin left to the kitchen to see if she could scavenge out some human food.

"Alright. Now that we're fed, let's go look for a place to sleep." Phil stretched.

"Wait, what if Techno finds us here?" Dream butted in. "It's far from where he is, but this place would be really easy to guess as another hiding place for us."

Phil nodded, smiling. "Don't worry. This place is enchanted. Only vampires and the humans that they allow-" he nodded at Dream and Sapnap, "-can even find this place. Come on. I'm tired." He walked out of the room.

George went to follow, but stopped when he heard Dream's voice. "George."

He looked back at Dream slowly, his heart sinking at the look of hurt and betrayal on his friend's face. Sapnap silently grabbed Patches and backed away.

"Why didn't you tell us that you were... a vampire?" Dream choked out, gritting his teeth.

"Dream, listen to me." George reached out for Dream's hand, but only succeeded in brushing it lightly before Dream jerked his hand away. "I thought you'd be angry, or-"

"George, I am your friend. I have been for years. I've told you everything about myself and trusted you with my secrets, and this whole time, you've been keeping your biggest secret from me. Did you really think you couldn't trust me?"

"Dream, please!" George tried to explain.

Dream interrupted him. "If you had told us, then maybe we could have been more helpful. We could have gotten you blood! Maybe if we knew, Techno wouldn't have found out, and we'd still be at home, and happy!"

George had tears in his eyes, and through them, he could see that Dream did too. Sapnap was looking between the two.

"Oh, and we can't forget," Dream snapped, "that so many of your kind has been evil, blood-sucking liars. And I just let you waltz into my house! Live with me and my childhood best friend! How do I know that you weren't just planning to suck the blood out of us?"

"Dream, please." Tears were spilling from George's eyes now, and he reached out to grab Dream's arm. "I'm sorry you're so mad that I'm a vampire-"

Dream slapped his hand away, turning. "I'm not. I'm mad you kept it from me. I'm not- I can't be around you anymore." He started walking towards the doors.

"Wait, Dream! W-what if Techno finds you?" George pleaded.

Dream let out a condescending laugh, gripping the door handle. "Ohhh, George. Did you forget? Techno only came after us because you were there."

With that, he left, slamming the door behind him.

Sapnap looked at George sadly. Patches jumped out of his arms, attempting to follow Dream. George's heart tightened as Sapnap shook his head, walking to the door.

"I'm really sorry, George. I really don't know what to think about you right now. But what I do know is that Dream can't survive on his own with a mind and a mood like that. I'm sorry."

And then Sapnap was gone, leaving George alone in the room, staring at the spot where he had last seen his friends go.

He collapsed to the ground, shaking as he sobbed. This was all his fault. Phil was right - he had put his friends in danger. He had led techno right to Phil, Tommy, and Wilbur. And he had lost Dream. The last thought sent him into even louder sobs.

Even in a castle with others of his kind, he had never felt more alone.
