George stepped out of the plane, Dream and Sapnap right behind him. They got what little stuff they had from the baggage claim (mostly Patches) and got in an Uber, the three of them squeezing into the back.

George stared out the window at the small homes and fields. He'd missed this place. The cool weather, the safer environment, the lack of alligators.

Dream pulled Patches out of her carrier, and the tabby cat immediately crawled onto George's lap, meowing. He stroked her gently, still staring out the window.

They were in a bus now, and George was starting to get hungry. He glanced at his phone. They were only a few minutes away from Phil's house, and whatever blood stash the other vampire had, but he had a cat in his arms, and two perfectly healthy humans next to him. No. Do not eat Patches. Do not bite anyone on this bus.

His head banged on the window as the bus stopped, and the three men walked out towards Phil's house. The moment he knocked on the door, the other vampire opened it, smiling. "Welcome!"

Phil gave an excuse to take George into the kitchen alone and handed him a glass of blood. George drank it up and sighed. "Whoa. Fresh human blood. Where'd you get this?"

Phil nodded, washing the glass out. "Secret vampire thing. It's mostly run by crazy people, but all their blood is genuine. I don't ask where it's from. Kris, can you get another bottle from the cellar?" Phil called, and his wife called back some sound of acknowledgement.

George raised his eyebrows at Phil. "She knows?"

Phil nodded. "Yeah. I trust her. I mean, you've told Dream and Sapnap, right?" Phil's smile faded slightly when George didn't respond. "At least Dream... right?"

George shook his head, looking away.

Phil sighed. "Well, it's your choice. I won't tell them. But I think they should know."

They walked out into the living room, where the other men were sitting. George sat next to Dream, and Patches immediately curled up in the space between them, purring softly.

"So," Phil started. "George texted me that you three needed a place to stay for a bit, but... why?"

Sapnap sat up. "Oh, yeah, that! We were almost killed, because someone thought George was a vampire." He laughed and didn't notice the shocked glance that Phil sent George.

"W- okay, like a hunter?"

"Yeah, he called himself a hunter." Dream crossed his legs, sitting back. "It was Techno. Phil, Technoblade has gone insane."

"Seriously! He had like... silver axes and stakes!" Sapnap agreed. "I gotta say, if George really was a vampire, then Techno came prepared."

"H-huh. Okay." Phil frowned. "Well, I'll... think about that," he muttered, glancing out the window. "It's getting pretty late. Why don't you two go to the guest room and get yourselves settled? I need to talk to George for a few more minutes."

Dream gave George a glance, but stood up, taking Patches with him. Sapnap followed him.

After they left, George looked at Phil.

"Well. That certainly ruins the whole 'family' dynamic you had with Techno, doesn't it?" George asked, rubbing his temples.

Phil sighed, looking away. "Well, one of the SBI members is a vampire hunter, while the other four are vampires. How fun is that?"

George nodded. He knew how painful it would be for him if Dream was a vampire hunter. Or Sapnap.

"And also, he almost got to me. He lured me in with a dead pig and human blood before ambushing me. I almost died. If it weren't for Dream and Sapnap, he really might've killed me. He was skilled."

"And?" Phil raised an eyebrow.

"He's skilled," George repeated sharply. "I mean really skilled. He was that one hunter that hunted down all the vampires that escaped to California, and all the vampires on the way there. I would guess that he's also getting leads leading straight to you, Wilbur, and Tommy. Especially now that I'm here."

Phil chewed on his lip. "Yeah. So... we're going to have to tell them about that." Phil pulled out his phone. "George, why don't you go rest? We can talk more in the morning."

The dark-haired vampire nodded, stood up, and walked to the bedroom, ready to argue with his friends who would be the one that was sleeping on the floor.
