3 months later.
Evelyn and Rory, stepped onto the grounds of Yale University for the first time, their footsteps echoing in the hallowed halls of academia.
Evelyn, looking around at the bustling campus, teased, "I guess this is our new playground, Rory. Ready to conquer Yale together?"
"Absolutely, Evelyn. Let's make the most of this chapter, shall we?"-Rory
As they entered their respective dorm buildings, Evelyn and Rory bid each other farewell, each headed to their separate rooms. Evelyn's dorm room welcomed her with a mix of anticipation and uncertainty.
In the dorm room, Evelyn found a girl engrossed in unpacking, talking animatedly on her phone. Evelyn greeted her, "Hi, I'm Evelyn."
"Hey."-The girl, continued her phone conversation, barely acknowledging Evelyn's presence. Evelyn exchanged a puzzled look with Rory.
____5 days later.
Evelyn and Rory met up again strolled towards a bustling coffee cart, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee beckoning them. Cups in hand, they spoke about their roommates.
Evelyn took a sip, savoring the warmth, and glanced at her twin sister. "So, how's Paris as a roommate? Living with someone you already know must be a relief."
Rory, with a knowing smile, nodded. "It's actually not bad. Paris has her quirks, but at least I don't have to deal with the uncertainty of a random roommate. How about you? How's your roommate?"
"I don't know, she never even told me her name"-Evelyn
"So she's lame?"-Rory
"She's quite but I don't know if she's lame, she seems interesting, Maybe she'll surprise me"-Evelyn
"Maybe..I still can't believe we're at Yale, like, Just imagine the books, the lectures, the late-night study sessions. It's a dream come true."-Rory
As they strolled through the campus, Evelyn playfully nudged Rory. "You know, I might add a touch of mischief to the academic atmosphere. Keep things interesting, you know?"
Rory chuckled, "Just don't get us into too much trouble. We're here to learn, not to create chaos."
In the midst of their walk, group of three boys and a girl approached. Among them was a tall, charming boy who, lost in conversation, accidentally bumped into Evelyn, causing her hot coffee to spill onto her hand.
Evelyn flinched but she didn't yell or say anything. Rory, however, noticed the incident and wasn't about to let it slide.
Rory confronted the boy, her tone assertive, "Hey, watch where you're going! You just spilled hot coffee on my sister."
The boy, momentarily taken aback, stammered, "Oh, sorry. It was an accident."
Evelyn responded with a tight-lipped smile, "It's fine, really."
Rory, not satisfied with the apology, continued, "Accident or not, be more careful. That could have been a lot worse."
The boy, realizing the impact of his actions, nodded sheepishly, "I said I'm sorry. I'll be more careful."
As the group walked away, Rory kept a protective eye on her sister. Once they were out of earshot, Evelyn turned to Rory with a small smile, "You didn't have to do that, you know. It's just coffee."
Rory, with a supportive glint in her eyes, said, "It's not about the coffee, Evelyn. It's about standing up for yourself, especially when someone is in the wrong. I've told you before, don't have to bear everything silently."
