Y/n L/n, Welding Apprentice
Once again everyone was gathered in the large hall. Royalty, advisors, council members, and servants flooded the room awaiting the Prince's word. You stood dutifully still, further behind Prince Larkyn. Everything was moving so quickly that the rare moment of peace you had was during the grim fate of the kingdom's rulers. In the crowd, you could see some familiar faces, battered up from the attack but still breathing.
The room fell silent when the Prince raised his hand. From the back he looked like a true leader, his very presence commanding enough to silence them all. "The King and Queen are in poor condition. But rest assured I will never rest till this attack is avenged and we hold the heads of those responsible in spikes surrounding our great realm" He forcefully announced "The cure for the ailment they face is in a far village, once you called step forward as you are tasked with this noble mission alongside I". Fitz John stepped forward holding out a scroll.
It was all that you expected to see powerful knights, calculated council members, intelligent doctors.
"And finally servants, Y/n L/n–" You honestly tuned out after Fitz called out your name. Village Mora, finally you were returning home, for better or worse.
Prince Larkyn turned towards you, with a gesturing hand. Carefully you went to his side now facing the crowd. "Come on L/n we have work to do" Prince Larkyn stated, with a gleam in his dark eyes. As the crowd started to disperse those who were handpicked were left standing. "Everyone, let us start preparations and meet back in the drawing room" Another one of the advisors announced.
You rushed to the servant quarters of the manor. The other servants looked at you with admiration and worry. "Good luck on the trip" One said before being elbowed by another maid "Aaron you're making it sound like a vacation". You chuckled at the interaction, reminding you of yourself and Dusk. Continuing to chat with the rest of the servants You continued to pack up. All ready to leave, you bid August and the others goodbye. You made your way to the drawing room after receiving some directions.
"Hey you were chosen as well right?" An unfamiliar man called out to you. You nodded, he was a well built man but not quite like a knight. To roughed up to be a medic and didn't speak like an advisor. Something seemed off about him.
"You're the one from Mora I hear' is that where the cure is?" He asked, almost like it was common knowledge. You decided to test him "Yes of course the cure is strong and the majesties will recover swiftly and quickly". His lips turned downward slightly, before he smiled "What great news". What really gave him away was the spear-shaped tattoo on his collarbone when his shirt moved.
"We should go to the meeting together" You replied gleefully.
As you both walked side by side it became very clear who this man was. Entering the room you both respectfully bowed to the Prince and Princess.
Before he could say anything you loudly announced "Prince Larkyn I've brought you a traitor". Shocked looks covered everyone's faces, even the stone cold Prince himself. Though he changed his expression rather quickly. The guards immediately jumped to action as the man struggled in their gasps.
"He is lying!! I've done so such thing!" The man pleaded, the fear in his voice sounding real. Prince Larkyn looked expectantly at you "I saw the rouge mark on his collarbone, I believe he is a spy" You confidently spoke. Real eye sore, it was a really ugly tattoo.
Princess Quinn drew a small blading walking towards the man. With a swift cut, the mark was revealed sealing his painful fate. "My, my L/n and to think those in this room questioned your usefulness" Prince Larkyn smirked.
We're back y'all ‼️🫶🏽
