About two hours later, Jane comes with her adoptive family. Jesse runs up to her and hugs her. Jane hugs them back.

"I thought you died," Jane says.

"Nah. I was hiding in the vents up above the lab," Jesse says.

"Do your powers still work?" Jane asks.

"They are weak but yes, they work," Jesse says.

"Same with mine," Jane says.

"Babe, are you going to introduce me?" I ask, hugging Jesse from behind.

"Oh, yeah. Jane, this is my boyfriend, Eddie Munson. Eddie, this is Eleven. Or well, Jane now," Jesse says.

"Nice to meet you," I say.

"You too," Jane says.

I kiss their cheek which makes them smile. My nose bleeds a little bit but I wipe it away with the sleeve of my black leather jacket. Jane introduces me to her adoptive family. Will was shy and a little awkward but seemed cool.

"Jesse, Henry is back," Jane says.

"What? How?" Jesse asks.

"His powers came back full swing in the Upside Down. He killed a girl named Chrissy the other night," Jane says.

"Wait...I saw her die," I say.

"Really?" Jane asks.

I slowly nod.

"He might be coming for you next. Or Jesse. Or me," Jane says.

"How do we know who he is coming for next?" Jonathan asks.

"I have to go to the Upside Down with Jesse," Jane says.

"Woah, woah, woah. No way," Joyce says.

"I agree," Mike says.

"Why not?" Jane asks.

"It is too dangerous. Especially since both of your powers are weak," Joyce says.

"We can strength them," Jesse says.

"Baby, no. You could get hurt," I say.

"Look. If he is after you next, I need to stop him. I do not want to lose you. I...I love you," Jesse says.

"Fine. And I love you too," I say, smiling.

"Alright, fine. If Eddie is letting his partner do it, I will let Jane do the same. But if you guys are in serious danger, you guys come back immediately," Mike says.

"Deal," Jane says.

Jesse nods in agreement.

"So what now?" Will asks.

"Jesse and I better start training to strengthen our powers. We need a pool of water. A deprivation tank of some sort is what it will be. Oh. And lots of pudding. We will be quite weak when we come back out of the sensory deprivation," Jane says.

"Where on earth will we get a pool?" Steve asks.

Joyce drags one up and five gallons of water.

"Will this suffice?" Joyce asks.

"Yes," Jesse says.

Jonathan pulls out a cooler full of chocolate pudding.

"Who will go first?" I ask.

"I will since I am older than Jane," Jesse says.

"Hun, please be careful," I say.

"I will, darling. I promise," Jesse says.

They kiss me. I kiss them back. Jesse takes off their coat and lays down in the pool once it is filled up. They close their eyes. We sit around the pool. An hour in, they start thrashing around as if someone scared them.

"Should we wake them up?" Robin asks.

"No. Definitely not," Jane says.

"But they seem scared," I say, worried.

Before anyone else could reply, Jesse's nose starts bleeding heavily. I go to my bag and pull out a bunch of towels. Jesse wakes up screaming. I rush over to them and get them out of the pool. I wrap a towel around them and sit them by the fire. I start pressing a towel hard on their bloody nose to hopefully stop the bleeding. They were shaking pretty bad. I am unsure if it is from the cold water or the fear or a bit of both.

"I...I saw him...Henry," Jesse says, terrified.

"What did he say, hun?" I ask.

"He wants you dead...for seeing Chrissy die," Jesse says.

"Oh, shit," I say.

"I am so scared," Jesse says.

"You are safe now. And I am safe too," I say.

"But how long will that last?" Jesse asks.

"I have no idea, hun," I say.

Jesse rests their head on my chest. I wrap an arm around them and kiss their forehead. I get the bleeding to stop and give Jesse a change of clothes.

"Go change in our tent," I say.

"Okay," Jesse says.

Jesse changes their clothes and sits close to me around the deprivation tank. Jane was still in it. Her nose was not bleeding though. Jesse tells everyone else what they saw while in the tank. They had calmed down, thankfully. And they were eating pudding.

"How are we going to protect Eddie?" Jonathan asks.

"By killing Henry first," Jesse says.

"Is that even possible?" Max asks.

"Yes. We just...We need to weaken him somehow. I am not sure how though," Jesse says.

Jane then wakes up.

"Henry is after Eddie. He will kill him tonight in his sleep. Eddie, do not go to sleep. Whatever you do, stay awake," Jane says.

"What?!" I ask, shocked.

"I am so sorry," Jane says.

Jesse stands up and clenches their fist.

"It is war now, Henry. It is fucking war. Come after me, you son of a bitch," Jesse threatens.

"Babe! No!" I scream.

Jesse then falls face first into the tank.

"NO!" I shriek.

"Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Oh, shit," Mike says.

"I have to go back in there," Jane says.

"Are you crazy?" I ask.

"Jesse could be in grave danger if they try to fight Henry alone," Jane says.

"Okay, fine. Just...just bring them back in one piece. And safe. Please," I say.

"I will. I promise," Jane says.

"Thank you," I say.

"Of course. I can tell you two are close," Jane says.

"We really are. I...I love them. A lot," I say.

"Time for me to go save their ass," Jane says.

"Thank you again," I say.

"No problem," Jane says.

Jane then gets back in the deprivation tank and closes her eyes.
