(Quick Note: Sorry about slow updates guys, I've been working on school stuff, so I haven't had as much time. But here is Chapter 9 finally! If you want it, top picture is your bedroom <3)
Chemistry Lab (3rd Person)
Two days later, Evie and Doug now sit in the chemistry lab again, this time taking a test. However instead of testing, Evie is searching through her purse for something. She scrunches up her face as she can't find it.
"Looking for something?" Mr. Deley asks as he looks over at Evie from the chalkboard. She quickly snaps her bag shut before looking up with a smile thinking the man didn't see her going through her bag........ that was until Deley held up her magic mirror. He then looks down at Chad, who gives Evie a smug smirk. "Thank you, Chad. It's gratifying to see someone still respects the honor code."
Upon realizing Chad sold her out, Evie glares at blond-haired boy. Mr. Deley spoke again, catching the girls attention, "It will be my recommendation that you are expelled."
"Mr. Deley, I..." Evie tries to explain herself, but next to her Doug confidently stood up.
"But that isn't fair. Obviously she wasn't cheating since she didn't have that... Whatever it is." Doug objected as he motioned to the mirror in the Mr. Deley's hand.
"It's called a magic mir..." Evie goes to add but Doug cuts her off.
"You're not helping. Stop." He hushes her and then turns back to Mr. Deley, "Maybe she needed another pencil." He continued with reason to why she was going through her bag.
"Actually, I was..." She starts to admit, but Doug intervened again.
"Really, don't help." The boy insisted before giving the teacher a pleading look, "Please."
Finally catching on, Evie clasped her hands together as pleaded as well, "Please." It's not that she didn't miss it her home but.... She couldn't get sent back to Isle, not yet at least.
Mr. Deley gave it a thought, scratching the back of his head. The man finally decided as he looked over at Evie sternly, "Well, If you can pass this test, I'll return your property and let the matter drop." Evie quickly nodded with a smile and Doug gave a relieved sigh.
Mr. Deley turned away right as Chad raised his eyebrows at Evie, still looking pretty smug. She only gave him a death glare back before Doug tapped her shoulder, reminding her to continue her test.
Picnic Area
Outside at the picnic tables, Doug sits there doing his homework and eating lunch. Unaware to the the girl sneaking up behind him, he feels two arms come around him and position a paper in front of his eyes. Doug glances at the paper realizing what it was. It was Evie's Chemistry test...and she got a passing grade with a B! Which means this girl could only be...?
Evie. She awaited Doug's reaction in excitement, she couldn't believe she actually passed all on her own. "For the first time, It's like I'm more than just a pretty face." She spoke softly looking down at the paper.
"A shocker, huh?" Doug responded sarcastically looking back up at her with a smile.
Evie places her paper on the table before sitting next to Doug, "You were pretty great in there." She expressed her thoughts as she remembered how the boy stood up for her.
"So were you." He complimented her back, looking deep into her dark brown eyes.
Evie then looked down at her test with a playful smirk, "I bet I can get an "A" on the next test without the mirror." She betted and tapped the paper with her blue polished nail.
