Tourney Field

Gino tugs on his Jersey before quickly making his way to the Tourney Field. He knew because of the big game, Y/N would probably be there already setting up with the cheer team.

The turf crunched under his feet as he made his way through the colored field, and when he approached, he spotted Y/N standing near the bleachers in a circle with the cheerleaders.

"Yeah I think pom poms over there should be fine!" Y/N spoke loudly so all the ladies could hear, pointing over at the space next to the bleachers, "Just make sure you keep track of which ones belong to you, girls!"

The cheerleaders nod in understanding and walk off to put their poms over in their designated area. Gino, still watching on the sidelines, decides this is the perfect time now that Y/N was by herself.

(Your/2nd POV)

"Geez, its sunny out here." You brought your hand up to your eyes, squinting at the blinding sunlight. You were in such a rush to get the girls out to the field, you forgot your visor back in your locker.

"Tell me about it." You turned around, hearing a voice you recognized well.

Low and behold, it was Gino Gothel walking towards you. You smiled up at him, "Well, Well if it isn't nurse boy."

"Nurse boy?" He smirked and echoed with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, considering the last time we talked, I think it quite fitting," You joked before glancing at his ankle then at his tourney jersey. You decided to ask about it, "Speaking of...Are you playing today or?"

He ran a hand through his dark curls, "Oh, uh, yeah. Seems like my ankle wasn't as bad as I initially thought." He gives his signature dimpled smile, it kind of made your heart flutter.

"Oh really? It's almost as if it was never there." You teased some more, getting a laugh out of him.

"Yeah, Yeah. Laugh it up...." He shrugged his shoulders acting nonchalant, "That just means you don't get your gift."

"Gift?" You stop your teasing and look at him questioningly. He brings out a bag with a cookie in it from behind his back.

"Uh, I just thought I should thank you for..." He looked down at the cookie shyly, "you know...helping this poor nurse boy."

He wanted to thank you? He made you a cookie to thank you! "You made me a cookie, Gino?" You breathed out in shock. He nodded and extended the bag out to you. You took it gently and almost cradled it like it was the most precious thing in the world.

"It's double chocolate chip, kind of plain I know but-" He tried to explain, but you quickly interrupted.

"No, no! I love it, thank you!" You gave a grateful smile looking down at the sweet treat, " Now I have something to look forward to after the game." You were about to turn around to put the cookie in your bag.

"Ah-Wait!" Gino sputtered out, making you stop in your tracks, "It's also actually a...good...luck cookie! You know, eat it before the game kind of luck?"

"Oh? I've never had a 'good luck' cookie before." You responded looking back down at the cookie in wonder.

"No, yeah, Its kind of like a tradition back at the Isle...." He started before pausing, "But if you don't want to, of course, thats fin-"

"No! I mean- No, It's okay. I want to." You reassured opening the baggie and pulling out the cookie, "It would be rude of me to just let your cookie sit, anyway." You smiled as you took a sizable bite out of the cookie.
