Sacrifice

"Should've known you'd turn a human scout trip into an interdimensional holiday, idjit."

A smile immediately finds its way onto your face and you're turning away from watching Lucifer walk off with Jack to see Bobby walking towards you.

"Bobby!" You exclaim and envelope him in a hug. You missed the scruffy man. Two years ago, he'd moved back to his abandoned house- the Singer Auto Salvage, determined to start his base of operations once John Darrow had been killed off in a mission. While Darrow was a dick, he got the job done and was Bobby's friend. And his house was a midpoint between the Lebanon and Des Moines camps. He'd offered you a place to live at his place but you'd opted out, choosing to stay to learn under Dr Aman Singh. "Well, a girl can try."

The land behind him was stacked with cars that were overgrown with vines. People were milling about, all with guns either in their holsters or hanging off their shoulders. You'd never been to Bobby's place and take it in momentarily as you press your chin onto his shoulder.

The old man laughs as well and pulls back, eyes darting over you. "You okay? Charlie told me you got shot and that Dean boy saved you."

"I'm- wait, you've met Dean before?"

"Came throught that same portal that threw Mary into this world. Met him and his brother before they went back through. They seemed good."

"Yeah, they helped me, Bobby." You smile at him reassuringly and you immediately feel when the brothers arrive behind you. Both you and Bobby turn to face them. Dean pushes out a small green mug to you, filled with a brown liquid.

"Coffee," Dean says, flicking his eyes to you for a second before looking towards Bobby. You take the mug from him, lips twitching gratefully as you feel the warmth melt into the palms of your hand. You notice that the brothers have their own cups in hand.

"Well, it's good to see you boys again. Knew you couldn't stay away," he smiles. "Thanks for saving Y/n," Bobby offers a small nod to Dean and you give the Winchester a small smile.

"Yeah," Dean looks at you then at the ground. "Where are Charlie and Ketch?"

"They're not back yet. They got a tip on an angel kill squad looking to execute some Resisitance. They went to head them off the pass."

"Charlie works alone-" you frown and start just as Dean speaks.

"You let Charlie go with Ketch?"

"She let Ketch go with her. It's her operation."

"Who's Ketch?" You ask, briefly remembering Dean bringing him up in the infirmary. "Oh, wait. The British guy in the," you rotate your hand over your upper body, "tactical suit?"

"That's him," Dean sighs.

"Bobby, we're gonna have to hit the road soon. We're running out of time," Sam warns.

"About that. Mary said you wanna take a bunch of our people back to this other Earth?"

"Yeah, yeah, that's the idea," Dean says and takes a sip of the coffee. You can hear the mild disdain in his voice.

"Well, no offence, but that may be dumbest friggin' idea in a landfill of dumb ideas."

"So let me get this straight. You want us to walk through this magic door that's going to blast us the hell out of here and into some fairytale world where everything is pretty?"

You lean into the Winchester beside you and whisper from the corner of your mouth. "Look, I told you. Nice and flowery."

There was no time to waste. A meeting was immediately called and while everyone gathered in one of the tents pitched in Bobby's yard, Dean, Sam and Mary made a rough plan for everyone's stay. The people at camp were split into three groups that was each headed by a leader. If they were convinced, then they'd push for it within their groups. It wouldn't guarantee everyone agreeing but if you guys had to connvince anyone, it had to be the group leaders.
