The Scar
"It's just that every time I think about it, it's like a nightmare-"
Sam sighs beside you.
"I mean I can't eat, I can't sleep. It's always just there, watching me."
"Dean, it's just a beard," Sam says, annoyed. "I've been a little busy lately."
"Yeah, well, that's not an excuse. Y'know cause Duck dynasty called and they want it all back." Dean stops at the hallway intersection and faces the two of you, eyes on Sam.
In the mostly silent car ride back to the Bunker, Dean shrugged off the outer layers of what he was wearing and just remained in an unbuttoned black vest, a white shirt and trousers. It was a good look on him, you thought as soon as you saw him in the garage light.
Mary and Bobby had stayed back in Duluth to clear up things- Mary said she knew a hunter in the area who would loan her a car to drive back to the bunker. She was more worried about Dean- wanted him to get home immediately.
"Some people say I look good," Sam shrugs with a smug smile.
Dean looks at you with a raised eyebrow. "He's lying, right?"
"I haven't heard anything," you smile and immediately turn to the other Winchester when you hear him scoff. "Hey, doesn't mean no one's saying it," you offer. Sam quirks his lip up in a small smile, his dimple showing.
"No. No people say that," Dean says, shaking his head. Sam chuckles softly.
"Hey, uh," he starts but Dean cuts him off.
"Look, if you're gonna ask if I'm okay, you don't have to."
"Alright, it's just that you didn't talk a whole lot on the ride here."
"Look, Michael bailed. I don't know how and I don't know why. He just," Dean shakes his head, searching for words. "He just cleared out."
"And you don't know where he could be going?" You ask and Sam flashes you a look. Dean didn't know about the deal yet.
"No," the older Winchester shakes his head and continues walking towards the war room. "As far as my memory goes, I mean everything from the second I said yes to the moment I walked through those doors is blank so," he shrugs, "I'm good."
You bite your tongue, memories of Noah flashing in your mind.
"I'm just really, really happy to be back..." Dean's hesitation snaps you out of your head. "Home."
You chuckle softly. Of course. You three were in the war room now and were surrounded by people from your universe. As far as Dean remembered, few people had moved out and many more were planning to leave. But in the weeks since, Sam had turned the whole thing into a hunter's HQ of sorts. Your people were good at fighting- fought worse in your universe and this world clearly had a supernatural problem that could use a few more hands.
"Yeah, there were many changes made so," Sam says haltingly, wary of Dean's reaction.
A tall dark-skinned man- Tyler walks towards the three of you and slows down when he notices Dean. You widen your eyes and glance at Sam who was shaking his head at Tyler.
