Jet lag's a real bitch.

You've been on a mission abroad for about a month, and you were finally home. All you wanted to do was take a well needed nap, but Nobara wanted to go out on a date to fill you in on everything you missed.

It's not like you cared, but you didn't want to say no and have to deal with a upset Nobara. The thought sends shivers down your spine.

You asked about Fushiguro and Itadori—if they were going to come—and you heard giggling on the other side of the phone. She's planning something. The thought only added to your exhaustion, but that made you too tired to call her out.

You got to the cafe a few minutes late, though that wasn't a rare occurrence. Your eyes scanned the small room, only to find a familiar poof of black spiky hair facing away from the door. There's Fushiguro. You smiled, your mind filling with memories of things that have happened between the two of you. You'd be lying if you said you didn't have any attraction to him.

You stupidly decided to poorly attempt to sneak up behind him to surprise him, though you had a feeling that it wasn't going to turn out the way you wanted it to.

Just as you were two feet behind his chair, your phone rang. Shit. There's your amazing luck. Fushiguro turned around to face you, his brows furrowed and gaze sharp, but he softened when his eyes finally locked onto you. Relaxed, even.

Wait, he can smile?

You gave him a flustered grin in response as you took your phone out from your pocket. Your brows furrowed at the contact. 'Nobi'. What had she done... You thought, turning your phone volume down as a curtesy to the 2 other people in the room and put it on speaker so that Fushiguro could hear a poor excuse.

"What did you do, Nobara." Your tone left no room for her to deny the fact, but she still let out a sharp 'Hey!' in a feign of offence before she spoke. "Uhm, don't be mad." You sighed, walking over to the seat across from Fushuguro. "Don't tell me what to do."

"Right." Her voice was laced with sarcasm, making you roll your eyes. Fushiguro rested his elbow on the table, propping his chin in his hand as he curiously listened to the conversation between the two of you, his brow raised.

"Seriously though, what did you do?" You asked, copying his arm placement out of habit as your waited for a response that would undoubtedly annoy you further. "Uhm...So I'm on my way with Itadori, right?" Her 'right' was your first indication that she was making this story up on the spot.

"So, he's driving and I'm on my phone then suddenly, bam! The car breaks down!" A lie, of course. Itadori isn't old enough, and neither is Nobara. You have to be at least 18 to drive legally in Japan. But you'll play along just to hear the excuse. Fushiguro was already giving you a 'They're lying' look, which you just simply nodded to.

They planned this, of course. Nobara knows about your attraction to Fushiguro, but you forced her to keep it a secret 'or else'. Or else just meant you wouldn't carry her bags for her when the two of you went shopping.

You heard Itadori's silent laughing over the phone, making you roll your eyes even more. "So you two wont be here." You stated it more then you asked, just to confirm your thoughts.

"Nope! Havefunwithoutusbyeee!" Was all you heard before the line dropped, making you let out a tired chuckle as you turned you phone of and shoved it inside your pocket.

"Not surprising." Fushiguro said flatly, taking a sip of his coffee he must have ordered before you arrived. He pressed his lips to the cup, and that's all you could focus on for a second. His pink, soft lips.

"So, how was your trip?" He asked, snapping you out of your embarrassing trance as you blinked. Your ears turned a faint shade of pink, hoping he didn't notice. "Nothing special. Just tiring. How've you been?" You asked, reaching over to grab a small menu of the drinks and pastries.

"The usual. Having to deal with Itadori and Kugisaki myself, thanks to you." He teased, lifting his head up to look at your reaction.

"That's not fair." You replied, looking up at him from behind the menu. "You're just trying to make me feel bad, aren't you?" You pointed out, giving him a soft smirk. "Is it working?" He asked, a slight grin on his face.

"Yes," You trailed off, sitting the menu down on the table now that you decided on what overpriced coffee and pastry you were going to spend $11 dollars on. "Just a little. Still, it's good to be back. I missed you guys, somehow." You admitted with a teasing tone in your voice, making the tips of his hears to have a dusty rose tint.

"We missed you too." He shamefully admitted, 'we' being code for: 'I'. You smiled, looking around the table in a poor attempt to avoid eye contact with those piercing blue eyes. Then, your eyes spotted a whitish-clear plastic bag like material poking up.

"What's in the chair?" You shamelessly asked, your curiosity getting the better of you. Fushiguro looked embarrassed as he reached over and grabbed a beautiful bouquet of your favorite flowers with a pretty yellow ribbon holding the plastic wrapping together tied to the stems. They were beautiful.

He swallowed, reaching over the table to hand them to you. "Kugisaki said that they would make a good gift for you. Plus, I had to stop at the convenience store on the way here. They had them, so I got them for you." He lied, looking anywhere but your eyes. But your lips, your pink, soft lips caught his attention. He blinked, snapping his self out of the trance-like state he was in.

"Just take them already, my arm hurts." He lied, his foot tapping on the hardwood floor under the table. Why? Why did he have to have some kind of feelings towards you?

Your eyes softened, a smile blooming on your lips as you took the flowers, holding them up to your nose and inhaling the floral scent. "Thank you, Fushiguro. I love them."

He felt his cheeks heat up. The sight of the beautiful flowers with a beautiful girl made his stomach do stupid stupid flips. He wouldn't ever admit it, but he was so relived that you actually liked the flowers. He was going off a whim when he overheard you talking about how much you loved those flowers with Nobara one day.

"You don't have to call me Fushiguro, you know. I think we know one another enough to go by first names." The words fell out of his mouth before he could stop them, surprising both you and him. "Megumi works just fine." He trailed off. It was too late to go back now.

"Megumi." You tested the words on your lips, seeing how easily they would fall off. The sound of his name coming from your lips made his heart flutter. "[Name]." He tested your name himself, being slightly worried how easily he let those words fall off of his lips.

"I like the sound of that..." Megumi murmured, a small smile forming on his pink, soft lips before he realized he said it out loud.

"What was that?" You asked, to busy focusing on the shape of his lips to hear what came out of them.

"Nothing." He said rather quickly as the waiter came up to take your order.
