After the Shibuya incident, your best friend Yuji found out he had a brother. You and Choso, Yuuji's brother, didn't exactly get along. But it wasn't hostile—more like a never-ending exchange of playful insults that both of you secretly enjoyed. It became a routine, one neither of you admitted looking forward to.

One cloudy day, you stood outside Jujutsu Tech, waiting for your Uber. The skies had been threatening rain all afternoon, and now the first drops began to fall, dotting the once-light grey sidewalk with darker spots. You groaned softly as the drizzle turned into a steady rain. Typical. Just your luck, huh?

Huddling closer to the building for cover, you muttered curses under your breath. The rain grew heavier, soaking your clothes and causing your hair to cling to your face. It was starting up to be one of those days where everything seemed like it was trying to test your patience.

And then, without warning, the rain stopped. Or at least, it stopped hitting you. Surprised, you glanced up to find a black umbrella hovering above you and a familiar figure standing at your side.

"Choso?" you asked, blinking at him. He stood there with his usual deadpan expression, his black shirt clinging to his lean frame from the rain, and grey sweatpants slung low on his hips. The umbrella wasn't exactly big enough for both of you, and you could see droplets sliding down the tips of his dark hair. "What are you doing here?"

"What? Would you prefer I leave and let you stand here like a drenched idiot?" he asked, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.

You rolled your eyes, refusing to let him have the upper hand. "I just asked what you're doing here, dipshit."

Choso's smirk faltered into a scowl. "I was walking back and saw you standing here, looking like a drowned rat." He looked away, muttering, "You're going to get sick."

"Aww, you're worried about me," you teased, leaning a little closer to emphasize the sarcasm in your tone. "Sorry to break it to you, but I don't get sick easily. Though, I'll admit, the whole 'knight in shining armor' thing is kinda working for you."

Choso raised a brow, unimpressed. "On second thought, you seem just fine," he deadpanned, abruptly stepping out from under the umbrella and leaving you exposed to the rain.

"Little shit!" you shouted, lunging forward to grab his arm and drag him back. Your fingers wrapped around his forearm, and you felt his muscles tense underneath your touch. A smug grin spread across your face as you noticed the faint flush creeping up his cheeks.

He glanced at your hand gripping his arm and, after a beat of hesitation, sighed. With his free hand, he repositioned the umbrella so it covered both of you again. He also let his fingers curl lightly around your hand still holding his arm.

Neither of you said anything, but the silence wasn't awkward. It was peaceful, the sound of raindrops tapping against the umbrella creating a soothing backdrop. The warmth from your body heat, despite the chill in the air, felt oddly comforting.

"So," you broke the quiet, your tone playful, "you single?"

Choso gave you a look, one brow raised in mock exasperation. "You're one weird-ass human." But the faint smile that played at his lips showed his amusement.

"Would you have me any other way, Choso?" you shot back, smirking.

For a moment, he seemed to seriously consider the question, his gaze fixed on you with an unreadable expression. Before you could get impatient, you nudged him lightly with your elbow, earning a quiet laugh from him.

"I guess not," he admitted, his voice softer. "You confuse me, though."

"I do?" you asked, tilting your head up to meet his gaze.

He hummed in response, his eyes shifting to the rain falling just beyond the umbrella's edge. "I don't know why, but... when you're near me, even though you piss me off, I feel calmer. It's weird. Especially because you're the opposite of calm."

You blinked, caught off guard by his sincerity. You ignored the last part, trying to have one civil moment between the two of you. "Huh. Wouldn't have guessed."

The two of you stood there for a while longer, just enjoying the soft sounds of the rain. Eventually, your Uber pulled up to the curb. Choso's shoulders slumped slightly, but he moved to walk you to the car.

"Unfortunately, I'll see you tomorrow, [Name]," he said dryly, holding the car door open for you.

Before stepping in, you turned back to him with a grin and got on your toes to press a quick kiss to his cheek. He froze, his eyes wide as pink dusted his pale skin. Recovering quickly, he scowled to cover his embarrassment and gave you a shove into the car, much to the Uber driver's amusement.

As the car pulled away, Choso waved with a small, reluctant smile. You flipped him off in response, making him chuckle under his breath.

"Boyfriend?" the driver asked with a knowing smirk.

"Hopefully soon," you replied with a laugh, feeling warmth spread through your chest as you glanced back to see him standing in the rain.

This is way better then the pathetic story I had before it. Enjoy, and if you couldn't tell, my writing has finally gotten better.
