I met you by chance in unexpected way
I was unaware but your essence made me sway
as I see you often, I learned more about you
you were a clever soul with big dreams to pursue

mysterious yet playful, you had your charm
and I couldn't get how it caused a love alarm
but one day, I just realized I was drawn like dew
even unsure if you knew me or just a stranger to you

your full name filled my account's search history,
I stalked you often, finding joy in your post & story
that was a secret, known to none but me
why didn't you notice my smiles whenever you'd be?

no one even saw the sparkles in my eyes
whenever I glimpse of you, it was so nice
months had passed but this secret remained
I had no plans to reveal, my feelings restrained

and I was the happiest when we had a talk online,
even a simple greeting made my heart so shine
in that moment, happiness was all mine,
a small gesture from you felt like a sweet wine

but when I thought I was fine admiring you from afar..
crushing in silence, hiding my love like a star,
I never imagined that the happiness you can bring
could also bring pain like a sharpened sting.

it was New Year when I found out
you were courting my friend, it was no doubt.
the butterflies faded, replaced by tears unknown
tears not for her, nor for you, but for the love I'd shown

I really hoped, just a bit, even I knew it was wrong,
but no chance at all, to me you didn't belong..
after the cries, I took a breath and finally swayed,
then I decided to retreat from that love's charade.

in that moment, I spoke these words so true,
"I'll try to let go, yet keep the joy I felt from you.
Though you hurt me, unknowingly it may seem,
still thank you for the love, even it was just a dream."

this memory of once loving you is mine alone
in my heart's silent chambers, it's firmly sewn
no one knows, it stays as I grow old
you, the secret love I had, forever untold

lihim na pag-ibig

ika'y nakilala sa paraang hindi ko inasahan,
mata ko'y napukaw mo nang 'di ko namalayan
nang madalas magkita, ika'y lalo pang nakilala,
isa kang matalinong taong may pangarap na nais maabot pa

misteryoso ngunit pilyo, talagang may karisma
na 'di ko wari kung paano nagdulot sa 'king puso ng alarma
basta isang araw, napagtantong itinatangi na nga kita
ako man ay kilala mo, o para sa iyo'y isa lamang estranghera

pangalan mo nga ang tanging nasa search history,
madalas na kitang i-stalk, sumasaya sa mga post mo at story,
isang malaking sikreto na walang nakakaalam kundi ako
bakit 'di mo pansin ang aking mga ngiti tuwing ikaw ay narito?

ni walang nakakita ng kislap sa aking mga mata
tuwing nasusulyapan ka, mundo'y tila kay ganda
at lumipas ang mga buwang nanatili itong lihim
pinigilan ang sarili, wala sa plano ko ang pag-amin

at napakasaya ko nang nagkaroon tayo ng convo,
simpleng pagbati mo ay nagpakinang ng aking puso
sa oras na 'yon, ako yata ang pinakamaligaya,
ni maliliit na kilos mo'y nagpatamis sa lahat ng bagay, aking sinta

ngunit nang akala ko'y ayos na ang mahalin ka mula sa malayo..
lihim kong paghanga, pag-ibig na bituin kung nakatago..
hindi ko inakalang ang ligayang maidadala mo
ay magdudulot rin pala sa aking puso ng pagdurugo

Bagong Taon noong aking nalaman,
walang dudang kaibigan ko'y iyong nililigawan.
ang mga paru-paro ay naglaho at napalitan,
ng luhang hindi para sa kanya, hindi para sa iyo
ngunit para sa lihim na nararamdaman.

ako'y talagang umasa kahit na alam kong mali
ngunit walang pagkakataon, ni kaunti
matapos lumuha, ako'y huminga at nagdesisyon
na tuluyan nang aatras mula sa pag-ibig na iyon.

ang mga salitang itinugon ko sa sarili,
"Susubukang bumitaw, ngunit alaala'y mananatili.
Kahit ako'y nasaktan mo nang hindi mo namalayan..
salamat sa pagmamahal, kahit ito'y panaginip lamang."

akin ang alaalang ikaw ay minsan kong inibig,
sa loob ng aking puso, patuloy na nakaukit
na dadalhin ko sa pagtanda, at 'di mo na kailanman mababatid
na ikaw, ay aking naging lihim na pag-ibig.

A love so pure that is hidden or was kept as a secret. I know there are many out there who can relate, who experienced the same situation. And I wrote this poem to let them know that they're not walking the path of hidden love alone.

With every beat of our hearts, there are stories of secret love that just fade into the darkness of night. But know that after that night, the sun will rise again for tomorrow, there is always hope.

Be reminded again, that love isn't always about happiness and rainbows. It also has pain.. sorrow...

Ngunit kahit ang pagmamahal ay may katumbas na mga kabiguan, gawin mo iyong daan upang mas maging matatag sa bawat paghakbang.

Every challenge strengthens us, molding us into better versions of ourselves. So embrace the journey, you can smile when you feel happy and you can cry when you are hurt. And hold onto the memories, learn from those experiences, and remember that in life, even a single story of secret love adds a unique thread, woven with courage and resilience.
