Ten

Irene's POV

Jin's throat probably got caught at the concrete bridge part. I was too busy worrying about Jin that I forgot about my hurting arm and now bleeding head.

Wendy's POV

Irene had a major head injury and Jin had a major, major, major throat injury.

Since Seulgi, Yeri and I weren't injured, we conducted a rescue mission for the two injured people.

We pulled them to the shore. Luckily, my phone was water prove. I called the ambulance and we went to the hospital.

"What?" Seulgi said. "Okay. I think I heard wrong. Irene is traumatized if she thinks it's her fault? So what are you trying to say?"

"Sorry," I said. "Irene told me not to tell you guys. But.. she drove the car. And she suddenly lost control. She'd probably think it's her fault Jin's hurt."

Irene was okay, but Jin obviously wasn't. After hearing about this, Xiumin ran to the hospital.

We entered to see Irene. Her face was pale. Her head was wrapped with bandages. I offered to feed her some porridge, but she declined.

"Eat something," I said. "You haven't eaten for over 12 hours. Come on, please?"

She wouldn't even talk to me. Then, I just decided to blame it all on myself so she'd feel better.

"Fine," I said. "This is all my fault. I was the one who suggested that we should drive."

"No," Irene finally spoke. "It's mine. I shouldn't have agreed to it. And I was drunk driving. I lost control."

Irene kept blaming herself for the rest of the day. I was still suspicious about the car, though. Irene drunk drived for a few times, but she even parked perfectly.

I asked for the forensics to investigate the car. Then, I went back to Irene's ward.

Xiumin was hugging Irene, and Irene was crying on his shoulder. I only took it as a friendly hug, but I was still jealous.

"Seulgi, V," I said. "Come with me. I have something to investigate. I need you guys to help me with the crime scene."

I asked some bystanders questions  while they investigated the crime scene.

"Okay," I said. "The bystanders said that they saw someone about my height cutting the safety rope. So, this was no accident."

"Uhm," said V. "There were really weird marks. It was like a camera's stand mark. Other than that, nothing."

"Now," I said. "Let's ask the forensics for the car analysis. And.. just ask Jungkook and Yeri to guard Irene."

I had a feeling that it had something to do with Eric. But.. if it was true, I was the one to blame because I encouraged them that I wanted to destroy Irene.

"Ms. Wendy," said the forensics guy, Lee Teuk, who was also Taeyeon's cousin. "You said that this was Taeyeon's car, right? Well, I know she won't drive it. But is it possible that someone would modify it?"

"I'm not sure," I said. "Taeyeon doesn't pay attention to this car, for sure. She's always busy pulling people's hair out. Why, what's wrong?"

"I found something," said Lee Teuk. "The brake wires were cut. So, that only means that your suspicions were right. This was no accident."

I was totally shocked by that. So, I went to see the area's CCTV on the day where we got the accident.

I zoomed in a guy cutting the safety ropes. He was wearing a hood.

It was Jackson.
