Seventeen

Wendy's POV

"What the?" Eric said, holding his bleeding cheek. "Jackson, do you wanna die? What's wrong with you?"

"I'm sorry," said Jackson. "But it isn't fair for you to hit her since she's a girl. She's just a weak girl, Eric."

"Yeah, right," said Eric sarcastically. "She's an FBI, you dumbass. Did love blind you? She's obviously stronger than me. She could endure the pain!"

"No," said Jackson. "She's not as strong. When I kidnapped her, she had no attempt of fighting back. And I read her old FBI records. She was the only one who failed something they call 'kidnapping test'. She's probably freaking out now."

It was amazing how Jackson defended me even though he knew it would lead him to danger.

"Fine," said Eric. "But because of you, Wendy, many of our plans failed. How are you gonna make it up?"

"I'm not," I said bluntly. "I'm quitting. I decided not to betray my cousin for you guys. I'm not in love with Xiumin anymore."

I was expecting to die right away for being a total bitch to them, but they all just laughed and smiled.

"Okay," said Ailee. "But trust me, you're gonna regret it for life. You're not getting another chance like this. We'll hunt you down for life. Jackson, go send her back."

Jackson sent me back to the FBI facility after knowing that they weren't at the hospital.

"Thanks." I hugged Jackson. "Thanks for everything. You're the best friend I've ever met. See you at school!"

As soon as I entered, people gathered around our work place. Many of them were trainees.

"Hey," I asked. "What's going on in here? Did something happen?"

"Oh," said a girl named Hyuna. "Wendy, I heard you went missing. Thank God you're okay. Xiumin and Jin are fighting. I heard it was because Jin made Irene cry. And some rumours said Xiumin quit the FBI and debuted with EXO. He came back out of the blue."

Irene's POV

I had no idea how to stop them even though I knew it was my fault they were fighting.

I didn't care about them when I saw someone resembling Wendy in the croud. I ran up to her.

"Wendy!" I said. "Are you okay? Oh my gosh. What happened? Now that you're here, can you stop the fight?"

"Easy," said Wendy.

She went up and threw the both of the guys on the ground. They were probably dumbfounded after seeing Wendy.

"Guys!" Seolhyun suddenly ran at us. "Big problem. The girls' toilet is on fire! Hurry!"

"Go and call the Fire Department," I said. "And where's Yeri, Seulgi?"

"She said she wanted to go to the toilet—"

"God!" I shouted. "Guys, Yeri's in there. Come on! Let's go!"

We ran to the other side of the building, where the toilet was located.

"I'm going in," said Jungkook. "If I don't get out in time.. evacuate."

"No." Jin pushed him back. "I'll go. And evacuate right now. Don't miss me."

I wanted to go in with Jin, but Wendy literally dragged me out. Moments after, Yeri came out. But Jin was nowhere in sight.

"Help," said Yeri, out of breath. "Jin.. he's in there. Eric's.. in there.. with.. a gun.."

Then Yeri fainted. I ran inside after breaking away from Wendy. Eric was holding a gun in front of Jin's head.

I pulled Jin out of Eric's gun's sight. But that gun was actually mine. Out of luck, half of Eric's face caught on fire.

"You'll pay for this!" Eric shouted. "I'll hunt your friends down. I'll make you suffer for life!"

We went out again, and there were people holding knives out. The FBI were holding their guns up. Even trainees did.

"There she is!" a girl said. "There's Bae Irene! Let's charge!"

They chased me with knives.
