Twenty Three

Irene's POV

I don't know why, but I just ignored their fight. It was ugly, really. But I just didn't care anymore.

I sat and thought about my life. Almost all of my close friends has a boyfriend. Well, all my cousins does.

Wendy is surprisingly with Jackson. Seulgi is obviously with Kai. Although each of them haven't confessed yet, I know Yeri and Jungkook has feelings for each other.

"Guys." I stood up. "I don't care if you wanna fight. So, if you need me, I'll probably be around the cafeteria."

"Don't go." Jin back hugged me. "Are you purposely trying to hurt me back in many ways? I said I'm sorry, and I mean it."

"Y-Yes." My heart was beating so fast that I swear Jin could feel it while hugging me. "I-I am hurting you on p-purpose. S-So w-what?"

"As expected," said Jin, letting go of me. "I still have that charm, right? I could feel your heart beating. Now don't lie to me."

That was the first time in a month that I made skinship with Jin. I kept hiding my cheeks because I was afraid it would be obvious that I was blushing.

"Yah." Wendy threw her arms around me after school. "What was that in class? I thought you hated Jin? Why didn't you just kick his ass or something?"

"Just because," I said. "Wendy, be frank. Is it obvious that I think I still have feelings for Jin?"

"You still have feelings for him?" I shut Wendy's mouth. "Gosh, Irene. Stop liking him. I mean, he's wearing eyeliner! How can you possibly like that self claimed bad boy?"

"Because," I said, sighing. "I can't afford to forget him. I don't have that kind of strength. Unlike you. No offense, but you're kind of.. how do I put this together.. bitchy."

"I get that a lot," said Wendy. "By the way, I don't know if it's just me or there's someone following us."

I turned around and there was indeed sounds of footsteps stopping. When we walked again, the footsteps moved too. Wendy and I gave eye signals.

"Run."

We ran like there was no tomorrow. It was unfortunate that we were wearing a skirt. I could hear our skirts ripping apart.

"Aaahhhh!!"

That was the sound of three people screaming. Yes, three. Yeri appeared from the front and shocked us.

The one chasing us was Seulgi. They were pranking us.

"Yah!" I shouted. "I could've gotten a heart attack! Don't laugh! Ssh! Shut up. What sound is that?"

There were more sounds. This time, it was obviously a bad guy. Seulgi and Yeri pulled out their guns.

"Aaahhhh!"

And it was Xiumin. Just what the heck is wrong with everyone? I found out that it was the anniversary of pranking that day.

The next day, I was still unlucky and Jin was still alive. Because of him, I couldn't decide whether to be nice to him or just be cold.

"Irene." Jin put down his pen. "What's wrong with you? Why are you in a bad mood? Are you on your period or something? Let me give you a tip. If someone throws a stone at you, throw a flower at them. But remember to throw a flower with a pot."

Of course and obviously, I almost made up my mind to throw it at him, but oh well.

Somehow and magically and pretty much expected, I fainted during PE. I woke up in the infirmary.

"I love you."
