Jin's POV

I was so freaking annoyed by people all around me. They kept talking about how the police sucks and all.

"Hey," I said. "Ever wondered why you're safe now? Because of the cops. And now you're mocking us?"

"Us?" the guy named Woohyun—the school gangster—stood up. "What, you're one of them? Look here, new kid. I'm from Seoul too, but I'm not a scumbag like you. Police ruins our plans, dude."

"What?" I said. "Scumbag? You dare to use that word on me when you know I can shoot the hell out of you?"

"Try me," said Woohyun. "I did a background check and you're an FBI. Oh, poor Yoona. I don't even know if she knows about this. She's friends with an FBI scumbag who only knows how to shoot a target."

I punched him in the face and turned away. I knew he wanted to punch me back so I took out my gun and aimed it.

"Stop!" Irene shouted. "If you kill him now, you'd have to hear Yoona's annoying cries everyday! Yes, he's Yoona's boyfriend."

The moment I put down my gun was the moment I was punched. I've never felt a punch that strong ever.

Of course, as a guy, I wanted to fight with him. But Irene was there, my sweetheart was there. I couldn't break her heart.

We had a party that night, at Yoona's house. Thank God Woohyun wasn't invited.

"Um," said V. "Guys. Something important just happened. Kai just texted me that Eric turned himself in. I'm having bad thoughts now."

"Could it be," said Xiumin. "That he's planning something worse? I suggest we bring him to the court right away."

Eric lost the trial, and all of his accomplices were brought in with him.

Jackson was freed, though. Nobody knew why, but everyone guessed it was because he didn't actually do anything harmful to anyone.

"Irene," I said. "About this morning, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have started a fight with Woohyun. Sorry."

"It's okay." Irene hugged me. "The important thing is that you're mine now. I love you."

"What the heck is this?" I heard Xiumin's voice. "You played on me, Bae Irene! You're just a heartless girl like the others! Don't even say you're sorry. It makes you look pathetic."

I knew Xiumin would react like that, but his sasaeng fans?

"What the?" Irene said. "I didn't even get to say anything! Xiumin! Come back here! We need to talk!"

And so, I was left alone, in the empty hallway. I didn't get how not important school was that nobody evem bothered to go to class.

As I was walking alone, I noticed that Irene was walking back from talking to Xiumin. But, she was crying.

"Irene," I said. "What's wrong? Oh, come on. Don't tell me Xiumin did this. I'll put his baozi face down to his ass."

"Yes," said Irene. "I'm crying. Jin, I'm weak, as Xiumin said. I'm selfish, as Xiumin said. And most importantly, I'm a betrayer, like Xiumin said."

"No." My eyes were getting watery for some reason. "No, you're not. You're not a betrayer! You're strong, selfless and you're loyal!"

Irene betrayed Xiumin for me. And yet I didn't quite catch that. I was the weak, selfish and betrayer.

"Sorry." I lowered my head completely. "Because of me, you're hurt. Because of me, you can't feel real love. Because of me, there'll be a scar in your heart. I'm sorry."

I let go of Irene's hands that I was holding and turned back. I felt like trash. I threw Irene away and didn't even say the real words I wanted to say to her.

Woohyun punched me.
