Jin's POV

Life after quitting the FBI and shutting everyone out of it wasn't as hard, it was worse than hard.

I had to work 3 part-time jobs. But luckily, the owner of each shop gives me living expenses.

One of the best places that I can work at is at the convenience store. It was better than working as a club guard—where I worked earlier.

"Welco—"

I stopped when I saw that it was Irene and her friends. Well, to be exact, her and her annoying cousins.

"Guys," said Irene. "Let's go somewhere else. I don't wanna buy ramyun anymore. Let's go somewhere that I won't see trash."

"Was that an insult?" I spoke up. "I asked, was that an insult? I'm sure I didn't hear wrong."

"Yeah," said Irene. "I'm not quite sure myself. Was that an insult. What a stupid line. Hey, Mr. Lemme tell you something. I cried because of a guy for a whole month. And the words he says to me after shutting me out of his life are was that an insult. Mr, what do you think it was? Was it an insult to you? Come on, guys. Let's go."

"Wait." I grabbed her hand. "I don't know how many times I have to pathetically says I'm sorry, but that's the only thing I can say. What am I supposed to do? Put antibiotics on your scar?"

"Let go." Irene pulled her hand. "I didn't say anything about scars. Why? Because I drew over them. I don't have scars. Now, if you'll excuse me."

Irene's POV

"Wow," said Wendy. "You've really changed. I think I like this new personality more."

"Thanks," I said and leaned forward. "Guys. Should we get some beer or soju? Xiumin's buying!"

"Yah," said Xiumin. "Why me? Whatever. But you're sure we're not going to get caught by Jungkook's dad, right?"

"Don't worry," I said. "Let's go to that store. I heard from our seniors at work that their beer is the best."

And as soon as we entered, I forcefully went back out. Of all places, why would he work here?

"Let's go, again," I said. "I'm so tired of that specific trash. How about karaoke? Xiumin's treat again."

"I work there too," said Jin. "Oh, don't worry. I wasn't talking to you. I was just talking to my trash self."

We ended up going back home. Why after one month, he shows back up and becomes a jerk?

What was worse was that when we went to school the next day, like black magic, the person next to my locker moved and Jin replaced her.

"Hey." Jin pinned me to the wall. "I've completely changed. Is that what you want? You've become a bad girl, and I'm now a bad boy. Is that what you want?"

"No," I said. "I just want you to get lost and never ever appear in front of me again."

"Oh," said Jin. "I told you that I'm a bad boy now. I won't do what you say. I'll do the opposite and approach you again, slowly. Beware, there'll be a charisma overload."

I couldn't get enough of his new style. He even winked, which added oil to the fire. My heart was burning, and so was my cheeks.

I went back to class, and darn it. Since Ailee went to prison, the sit beside me was empty and I really had bad luck that day.

"Jin," I said. "Whatever you're doing, it's not going to bother me. But give me back my thing."

"Hmm," said Jin. "I don't want to? It's just a pen. You can buy it anywhere, right princess?"

"Stop bothering her," said Xiumin. "I don't know why you're here and not in the trash can, but can you just get lost?"

"Ha," said Jin. "You're still funny, Xiumin. I don't see your name written on her? Why? Wanna fight?"

Oh shit.
