Weird. That's exactly how to describe how 22-year old Cairo was feeling this afternoon. Just plane old, weird.
Today was her first day of being out of college, and it felt so...different. She didn't wake up at 6:30 AM to do her makeup, she didn't even eat breakfast yet. She had just woken up, and she felt relieved. After almost 16 years of school, she was finally done, finally finish. She got her masters degree. And she accomplished it as a young woman.
She stared in her bathroom mirror as she brushed her hair, already having brushed her teeth and taken a shower. Today, she decided to go out with her best friend, Juliana, and celebrate.
After getting dressed, Cairo picked up her phone, calling Juliana's number. She started to hang up after the second ring, and that's when Juliana picked up.
"Hey, boo! My bad, your god-baby was acting out. What's up?" Juliana's soft voice came through the phone, and Cairo chose to put it on speaker, going in her closet to find an outfit.
"Hey, Ana. I was wondering if you wanted to go out tonight, as a celebration of us finishing school?" Cairo grabbed some sweatpants, with a black tank top, and some socks.
"Of course! Is that even a question? Ky is actually hosting at Lure tonight, and performing at the Del Mar arena. You wanna go?" Juliana responded, referring to her baby father, Kyrie.
"Yeah, but I'ma come see my baby first. I'm on my way." Cairo blew kisses into the phone, before hanging up.
Since she knew she'd probably be there by the time they were heading to the arena, she decided to bring her outfit with her, so she went back into her walk-in closet.
She grabbed her Yvonne Pu Leather Black Strapless Crop Top, some black leather shorts, her Black Silver Stud Tassel Pointed Toe Stiletto Heel Knee High Boots, and a black purse she'd bought from SHEIN.
