𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 in bed, Cairo stared up at the ceiling, her hand on the heating pad that rested on her stomach, currently on level three. Kazimir slept quietly next to her underneath the covers, while Syani was sitting on the other side of him, intrigued by the show, Littlest Pet Shop playing on her iPad. The two girls had just woken up about an hour ago, and hadn't even been out of the bed except to brush their teeth and wash their faces.
Ever since then, Cairo had been sitting in bed, overthinking, as she always did. She couldn't help but think that Kazimir really didn't want her. What if he only wanted her for her body? What if she wasn't a good girlfriend? What if he was still in love with his baby mother? It was just so much to think about, which made her feel like they should just continue to grow as friends.
"Yani? You hungry pooh?" Cairo looked over, attempting to brush her thoughts away.
"Mhm! What we eating?" Syani turned off her iPad, and Cairo shrugged, unplugging the pad, and getting up, picking up the small girl, walking out of the bedroom.
"What you want? Cereal? Toaster Strudel? Pancakes?" Cairo brought out names, looking in the fridge once they made it downstairs.
"Mm, cakes!" Syani hummed, referring to pancakes, causing Cai to chuckle, nodding her head as she grabbed the Aunt Jemima pancake mix out of the refrigerator.
She set Yani on her feet, and allowed her to run over to the open room that had some of her toys inside.
Cairo washed her hands first, then grabbed a large bowl out of the cabinet, and grabbed the flour out of the other one.
As she washed out the bowl, she felt a presence behind her, and a pair of arms soon wrapped around her waist.
"Wassup pretty mama? What you making?" Kazimir's raspy voice escaped his lips, and she smiled once he left a kiss on her cheek.
