At the heart of the haveli lies the majestic Durga Mandir, a sanctuary of devotion and spirituality. Adorned with intricate carvings and embellishments, this sacred space is a beacon of faith for the residents of the haveli and the surrounding community. Anirudh Kaka's unwavering belief in the divine is palpable, evident in the grandeur of the Durga Murti that graces the mandir. The haveli serves not only as a residence but also as a hub of communal activities, where festivals and rituals are celebrated with fervor, weaving together the fabric of tradition and kinship that defines the essence of Roy Choudhury Haveli.

Bondita Anirudh Roy Choudhary sits alone in the tranquil ambiance of the Durga Mandir, her mind swirling with thoughts amidst the quiet solitude. With her Kaka Sasur ji away on a pilgrim trip, her choto dever Batuk engrossed in his own pursuits, and her somnath dada cum devar occupied with hospital duties, the vast haveli feels unusually empty. Even her sasur ji and Sampoorna didi with little Shashu have embarked on a business trip to Darjeeling, leaving only Bondita and her patibabu behind.

As she basks in the freedom of her vacation, having just completed her schooling, she finds herself yearning for the bustling company that usually fills the halls of the haveli.
