Maxs pov
"Wake up fuckers! We have a big day planned ahead of us, and yes Tessa you're going too. You're going out hunting I don't want to hear any complaints do you understand?" I said and they nodded. Tessa looked uncomfortable with everything going on but she stayed quiet. "The guys will teach you everything on the way, good luck!" I say with a smirk before leaving the room.In the meantime, I have to try to get ahold of my children to see if I can find any information about where they could be.

I grabbed onto Tessa's arm tightly and pulled her near me "This isn't normal hunting, this is human haunting!" I shouted and she sighed "One wrong move and bang!" She nodded slowly.I couldn't help but notice that Tess has been acting really strange since yesterday, ever since that incident happened, Vinny looked over at me and gave me a death glare, making me feel uneasy. "Hey, I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm just talking to her, calm down," I said while letting go of Tess's arm. She seemed on edge and anxious, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what was going on with her. The whole situation was making me feel uneasy, and I wasn't sure what to do next.
We all headed outside and went into the car "Hey Tess!" I say while grabbing my knife trying to get out of Ricky's nerves. "I don't care," she said in an annoyed tone "Oh but you will!" I say while bringing the knife to her neck. Her eyes closed tightly "god damn it Kody!" Ricky said while slapping the knife out of my hand. "You're no fun! Max isn't here to stop us!" I shouted and he sighed.
Tessa's pov
As Chris was driving us to an unknown destination, my mind couldn't stop wandering about yesterday's events. Ricky and I had made out, and ever since then, he hasn't spoken to me. It's as if I'm nothing to him now, but a mere victim. I regret getting attached so easily, and now I'm left feeling heartbroken and confused. Suddenly, Chris stomped on the brakes, bringing the car to a halt. "We are here!" he exclaimed as he got out of the car, leaving me alone with my thoughts.Vinny forcefully pulled me out of the car, gripping my arms tightly. I winced at his touch but said nothing. As I looked around, a sense of familiarity washed over me, although I could barely recall anything about this place. Kody's voice interrupted my thoughts, and I turned to face him with a puzzled expression. "Starting to remember this place now?" he asked with a smirk. Suddenly, a rush of memories flooded back to me, reminding me of a traumatic event that had occurred here. I was speechless as I struggled to process everything that was coming back to me.
As I gazed at the towering trees surrounding me, Kody's sharp warning jolted me back to reality, "Don't even think about it! You've done it before, and I couldn't get you down the last time!" I froze, feeling panic rising within me. But I couldn't let him win. "You won't do anything!" I spat back, before impulsively scrambling up the tree. Chris' voice then echoed through the air, "Get down now!" But I refused to budge, my heart racing with fear. "No! He wants to hurt me!" I screamed, my words bouncing off the rustling leaves.
Chris's voice was filled with anger as he shook the tree and yelled at me, "I said get down!" I could see Kody rummaging through his pocket, probably looking for something to hurt me with. Fear crept up my spine as I realized the gravity of the situation. "Okay, okay," I said in a panicked voice as I quickly climbed down the tree. As soon as I reached the ground, Chris grabbed my arm tightly and dragged me to the edge. Looking down, I could see a group of people gathered below. "See this, and the people," Chris said in a serious tone, "just remember what was on the news." I closed my eyes tightly, trying to push away the thoughts that were flooding my mind. "I don't want to," I said anxiously, hoping to avoid the reality of the situation.
"Chris spoke in a confident tone as he said, "Oh hun, we are here to hunt them, we have to follow the tasks." I felt his grip on my arm tighten, and my body started shaking with fear. I knew I wasn't comfortable with what was happening, but I didn't want to make things worse. "Okay fine," I said, trying to sound calm and composed. I gripped Chris tightly, afraid of falling. "Please don't let me fall," I said, my voice quivering.
Chris pulled me away from the edge and pushed me to the ground. He leaned over me, his face twisted in anger. "Now follow what we do, do you understand?!" he shouted. I nodded quickly, trying to catch my breath.
As I looked around, I noticed that Ricky was keeping his distance. He wouldn't talk to me or do anything with me. I was confused and wondered what I had done wrong this time. Was it because I was scared? Did I not show enough courage? I didn't know, but I felt a sense of isolation and sadness wash over me.
Ricky's pov
I felt a deep sense of sadness when I witnessed how everyone was treating Tessa. She is such a delicate person, and it seemed like they were all taking advantage of her kind nature. However, as much as I wanted to help her, I knew that I had to keep my distance. The thought of getting too close to her was scary, especially considering what Max might do if he found out. It's a difficult situation to be in, but I know that I have to prioritize my safety and well-being.Tessa's voice trembled with fear as Chris tried to instruct her on something. "No, I don't want to!" she protested, her eyes darting around the area. Chris grew increasingly frustrated and yelled, "Ricky, get over here!" As I approached, he continued, "She won't listen to me. Maybe you can show her what to do, or do it yourself!" His words dripped with disdain. I took a deep breath and approached Tessa, harshly gripping her arm. She flinched at my touch, but I tried to convey a sense of calm and reassurance.
"Ricky, please," she pleaded, her voice cracking as she looked up at me with sad, tear-filled eyes. Her delicate hands trembled as she clutched onto her sleeve, her body language revealing her fear and anxiety. The weight of her emotions was palpable, and I could feel my heart breaking for her. Despite her obvious distress, she tried to maintain her composure, but her voice betrayed her, revealing the depth of her pain and distress. "I'm sorry you have to" I pulled her close to the edge with me and handed her the snipper, her hands shook while she looked at it. As she quickly moved away from it, a gasp escaped her lips. Her eyes locked onto mine, and she looked at me with a mix of fear and recognition. I spoke softly, trying to calm her down, "Let me guess, you saw Billy?" She nodded in response, confirming my assumption.
Kody quickly came up to us "Do it Tessa or else!" He said while bringing his gun out and pressing it to her back. I watched her eyes widen, her shaking was becoming worse and the layer beneath her was starting to crack. I pulled Tessa away from the edge and gave Kody the death glare. "ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL HER?" I shouted and Chris and Vinny came running toward us.
Tess gripped me tightly as she was trying to find comfort. I let out a deep sigh and wrapped my arms around her in a soft embrace. "I think we've had enough for today," Chris chimed in, reaching for his car keys. I walked Tess to the car, keeping a watchful eye on Kody to ensure that he wouldn't do anything foolish. The air was thick with silence as we packed up our belongings, and I knew that Tess was probably wondering why I was keeping my distance from her. Eventually, we all piled into the car, but the atmosphere was still uneasy as Chris drove us back home.
Kodys pov
I might have some kind of plan to get Tessa into trouble. It may be risky but you know it will be worth it. Maybe it will get her kicked out of this place or maybe even worse could happen. I just have to talk to Max about itI've noticed a lot of things happening between Ricky and her. That's when the idea came into my mind, I could put a note under her door saying it was from Ricky. Right before she could get to Ricky's room I can take her to Max. If Tessa doesn't fall for the note I'll have to figure something else out. I looked to the side of Ricky and Tess and to my notice she was passed out holding onto his arm tight. "Looks like she has a tight grip on you Ricky," I say and he looks over at me. "You scared, what do you expect, especially after what you did." Ricky spat. "Don't forget who she belongs to!" I spat back and Ricky rolled his eyes "We went over this many times by now!" He shouted. "DON'T MAKE ME PULL THIS CAR OVER," Chris shouted.
"I don't know, whatever," I muttered with a sigh, tapping my foot impatiently as I waited for Chris to pull into the driveway. The tension between us was palpable, and I knew that anything I said would just make things worse. As soon as the car came to a stop, Chris jumped out and slammed the door behind him.
"Straight to bed, I don't want to hear it tonight!" he spat, barely sparing me a glance as he stormed towards the front door. I followed him inside, the weight of our argument heavy on my shoulders.
As we made our way down the stairs to our bedrooms, I couldn't help but think about the plan we had hatched earlier that day. It was risky, and I knew I had to be careful if we wanted to pull it off without anyone noticing. I tried to push the details out of my mind for the time being, knowing that I needed to focus on getting some sleep if I was going to do my plan tomorrow.
