Tangled Souls

When the moon is high and the stars align,
The shapeshifter comes out to play,
With a smirk on their lips and mischief in their eyes,
They roam around in the dark of night.

They can change their form, shift and twist,
Taking on any shape they wish,
But there's one creature that holds their heart,
A beautiful demon, dark and smart.

They dance in shadows, under the moon,
Laughing and teasing, their love in bloom,
The shapeshifter and their demon lover,
A twisted love, but one like no other.

The demon's horns and wings so black,
The shapeshifter's ever-changing back,
Their love knows no bounds, no rules to follow,
They embrace their darkness, no need to wallow.

In the stillness of the night,
They hold each other tight,
The shapeshifter's claws tracing the demon's skin,
Their love a sin, but they don't give in.

For they are creatures of the night,
Drawn to each other, like moth to light,
Their love may not be pure or holy,
But it's wild and passionate, untamed and holy.

As the moon begins to fade,
They know they must part ways,
But their love remains, forever strong,
A shapeshifter and a demon, where they belong.

So when you see a shadow in the moon's glow,
Or hear a howl in the wind that blows,
Know that it's just the shapeshifter and their love,
A love that will last, beyond the stars above.
