Today was a strange day. Mika wasn't her usual self, she had bags under her eyes meaning she's not getting enough sleep. To be honest she looks like shit. It probably has something to do with Ella being here yesterday. After Ella left my office I messaged her and told her not to come to the company again until she apologised to Mika and she didn't even answered me back.

I got to go on a trip to New Zealand for a meeting that I have to attend that my mother suggested I look into. I sighed and stood up from my chair and walked to Mika's office. I knocked on the door and heard a weak voice say 'come in' I opened the door and saw Mika sitting at her desk with papers surrounding her.

"I just wanted to inform you that we have a trip for tomorrow to New Zealand for a meeting, my driver will pick you up tomorrow morning at six." I said to her she nodded her head.

"I'll be on time ma'am." I nodded at her.

"Just give me your address please, so my driver knows where to pick you up." She grabbed a pen and a piece of paper and wrote her address down on it and stood up from her chair and walked to me.

Now that's she so close to me I could actually see how tired she looks up close, she looks exhausted, her blue eyes looked drained.

"Here you go ma'am." She handed me the paper and went back to her desk.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I said walking out of her office back to mine and send my driver her address and went back to work.

After hours of being in meetings, I was currently doing the last paperwork for today when my office door burst open and in walk my best friend Sienna also the receptionist on my floor.

"Hey bitch." She said so hard I winced. She plopped down on my office couch.

"Hi Sienna." I said dryly. She rolled her eyes at me.

"Who pissed in your cereal this morning?" I sighed and poured us some wine and gave her one.

I sat opposite of her and crossed my legs and leaned back.

"Don't start with me today Sienna." I said taking a huge gulp of my wine.

"You look tired." She said smiling at me.

"I am."

"How are you and Caden." At the mention of his name I rolled my eyes.

"I broke the engagement." Her eyes widened and looked at me shocked.

"Thank fuck." She said looking relieved.

"What the fuck Sienna." She shrugged.

"I never liked him he was a real cunt." I actually agreed with her.

It's not that I didn't love him, I really did but once I found out he cheated on me for the first time, it's like all the feelings I had for him was gone in an instant.

"We should go to a club and let loose a little and to forget about our daily problems." She said taking a sip of her wine.

"I wish I could but I can't, I have to fly tomorrow to New Zealand for an important meeting." I sighed not wanting to go.

"Well that sucks." She said.

"Don't be so dramatic, we can go when I'm back." Before she could reply there was a knock on my door and in walk Mika.

"Sorry to disturb you ma'am but this papers need to by signed." She said, not even smiling at me like she usually does. Not going to lie, I actually like it when she smiles at me.

I stood from the couch and took the papers from her and signed it for her.

"You can head home now if you want." I tell her with a small smile as I have back the papers to her. She gave me a small smile back.

"Thank you ma'am have a nice afternoon." She said and walked out closing the door softly behind her.

"So what do you think about hot stuff?" Sienna ask with a smirk, wiggling her eye brows.

"She's okay." I said shrugging.

"Just okay! Have you seen her, gosh that jawline and that ass-"

"Okay Sienna I get it." I said stopping her from going any further.

"And no Sienna you can't fuck her like the others." I said sternly.

I hired this one guy that was actually handsome and did his assistant work great but he also fucked up along the way, but one day I went to get some paperwork from him and found him and Sienna fucking on his desk. That's how I know she likes fucking my assistants. And was traumatised by what I saw that day.

"Damn no need to be rude, I'll leave your girlfriend alone." She said her smug smirk still on her face.

"She's not my girlfriend Sienna." I scowled at her with a scoff.

She didn't say anything else's about Mika again. We chatted for a bit before she went back to work.

I switched my laptop off and grabbed my bag and purse and before I could stand up from my chair there was a knock on my door.

"Come in." I yell frustrated, I just wanted to go home.

The door opened and Caden walked through the door.

"Caden." I said annoyed.

"Can we talk?" He asked as he stood in front of my desk. I rolled my eyes and motioned for him to take a seat.

He sat in the chair and took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry Valentina, about everything, I don't want to lose you." He said with a shaky breath.

I smirked at him, not believing what's coming out of his mouth.

"I don't think so Caden, you lost me the moment you decided to fuck another woman." I said with a sarcastic smile.

"I know and I'm sorry but please don't throw everything away we've been through." He said playing with his fingers.

"No Caden, I don't care anymore about what we had it's done and over between us and you have to accept it."

"Valentina please, I'll do better I promise." He said begging me. He looks so pathetic it's actually nauseating.

"Listen to me and listen carefully Caden of what I'm about to say." He nodded his head.

"When I found out you fucked your assistant, I was sad at first but then the sadness turned into pure hatred, then just like a switch all my feelings I had for you over the years was gone, so what I'm trying to say is that, I don't love you anymore Caden and I'll never will again." I said my tone ice cold towards him.

He looked at me with anger.

"Fuck you Valentina!" He screamed at me in full anger. As I sat here in my chair looking at him, I felt nothing towards him like I used to. The butterflies isn't there anymore just pure disgust.

"No thank you." I said smirking at him that makes him madder than he is.

"You're a fucking bit-"

"GET OUT!" I screamed at him.

He stood there stunned, because never in my life had I ever screamed at him before. Yes we had our arguments but it never turned into a screaming match.

"NOW!" He glared at me and stormed out of my office, slamming the door hard behind him.

I sighed and collapsed into my chair, exhausted from the day.

I grabbed my stuff and went home.

I need some wine.
