It's been two weeks since we've been back from Hawaii. Today was the day that I'm seeing Dr. Ricardo, since I got the courage to go and see him. Luca came with me to support me.

I laid on the hospital bed, waiting for him to come and see me. Since last week Sunday my chest was burning intensely and it feels like a 40kg weight is placed on my chest, suffocating me. Also Valentina is suspicious about me this whole week since I've been breathing heavily after doing something small, like climbing the stairs or just in general walking. I can see she wants to say something but she keeps it to herself at work.

"Bonjour mademoiselle Levine, je vois que vous êtes enfin venue me voir" Dr. Ricardo's voice rung in my ear. (Good morning Ms. Levine, I see you finally came and see me. )

"Bonjour Doc, comment vas-tu?" He half glared at me, I sat up in the bed, ready for what he's going to tell me about my condition. ( Good morning Doc, how are you? )

He grabbed his clipboard and read over the paper before looking at me worriedly.

"Ressentez-vous une douleur intense au niveau de la poitrine et une sensation d'oppression autour de la poitrine?"He asked me with seriousness in his voice. Damn his not beating around the bush. ( Do you feel severe chest pain and tightness around you're chest area? )

"Oui, j'ai l'impression qu'un éléphant est assis sur ma poitrine." I explained to him, holding my hand on my chest. ( Yes, it feels like a 40kg weight is placed on my chest )

"Well the explanation to that is, according to you're test results, your heart is failing Mika..."

"You're heart condition got worse over the few months so, the heart muscle doesn't pump enough blood as it should be, the symptoms are irregular heartbeat, trouble breathing, swelling neck veins that stick out, and fluid building up in the lungs." He explained to me. I sat there in shock, my heart is busy giving up on me.

My heart is failing.

"But there is another thing Mika, but I don't want to get your hopes up." He said looking at me hopefully.

"What is it?" I asked curiously.

"There was an car accident two months ago, the man is brain dead and is on life support, he is your blood match, but I'm still waiting for his parents to give me their consent, the father already gave his consent, it's the mother that's a bit difficult but it's understandable that she's acting like it." He explained.

Possible donor.

So I have a possible donor that can save my life?

"I'm going to prescribe you new treatment, since the other medication won't work anymore, but listen carefully Mika, it won't cure it but will prevent from having a heart attack." He explained, he gave me a small smile but got serious again.

"Stay away from, smoking, alcohol, exercising, it increase risk of heart failure. But I can you look in shape, I'm sure you manage a good diet." He explained, he knew I'm in no condition to say anything to him from shock. After a few seconds he left the room leaving me alone.

I leaned back against the pillow, feeling my tears swell up in my eyes, threatening to fall. I blinked, letting them fall on my cheeks. Luca came into the room who had an worried look on his face.

Without saying anything, Luca came closer to me and wrapped his arms around my shaking body.

"It's going to be okay Mika." He whispered, running his hand through my hair softly. I closed my eyes and let out a sob holding on to his shirt for dear life, bawling my eyes out.
