☆'We just smoked a bit.' Eli said.
They were all on the bus diving into the next stop for the tour, winding Eli up because he never showed up at the bar and only wandered onto their bus ten minutes before they were set to leave. Nobody said anything at the time, Eli went straight to his bed and so they couldn't wind him up, this morning they really were making up for it.
'You just smoked for four hours?' Josh raised an eyebrow.
'Yep.' He said.
'And that's why you came back onto the bus with sex hair?' Rob asked him.
'Fuck off.' Eli muttered, desperately trying to contain his laughter.
'Aye thought you were sneaky.' Ryan laughed. 'So?'
'I don't kiss and tell.' Eli shrugged.
'Aw fuck off,' Josh said, shaking his head at Eli. 'What did yous actually do for four hours though?'
'Stuff, and talk.' Eli smirked away to himself, trying not to give much away because it wasn't fair to Joni for the guys to know the ins and outs of what they got up to. 'She plays piano, did yous know that?'
'Yeah, actually.' Rob said. 'That's why she's got a piano song, funnily enough.'
'Aww you cheeky man,' Ryan exclaimed, giving him a nudge jokingly until the point the two of them were practically fighting each other. 'Nah, good for you though.'
Joni didn't know what to expect last night, in the moment the two of them got carried away and shortly after they were lying in her bunk together laughing away to themselves. She expected him to leave, head off to his bus or to the bar to see his friends, but he didn't. He stayed there for quite a while, to the point he had to run right back to his bus before it set off and he had to travel with Joni.
They lost track of time completely. They were talking about all sorts, he noticed the piano on her bus that she travels with, and she explained she ends up writing a lot of her songs on piano first before giving them their somewhat grungy sound. Then they were sat there pressing keys next to one another, writing the worst songs you could ever imagine.
Before they knew it, hours had passed and Eli had to grab the rest of his clothes and run onto his tour bus. Joni's team were arriving back, but it was just Sadie who saw Eli leaving, luckily. She didn't want it to be made into something that it wasn't, for it to be made into a big deal when it didn't need to be.
Sadie and Danny were also trying to get the gossip from Joni, however Dean was also present therefore she tried to not say too much. Dean never cared about any of that stuff though, he always just turned a blind eye unless it was impacting her work. They were however under strict instructions from Sadie not to mention anything about Rob infront of Dean, not yet anyway.
'So you shagged him?' Danny asked, putting it bluntly because he knew Joni wouldn't.
'Well, maybe, but shut up, both of you.' Joni just laughed. 'Don't make it a big thing, please?'
'We won't.' Sadie winked. 'Go you, I'm happy for you.'
'Thanks?' She smiled back.
Their buses were pulling into the venue at the same time practically, and when everybody was hopping off the bus, it was funny to see the two groups act as if they weren't talking about things they'd sworn not to repeat. Eli and Joni held eye contact for a little but just smiled and looked away. It was like everyone there was desperately trying not to watch them and see how they'd act, but Joni and Eli were good at going on as if last night didn't happen.
