Fill this void

73 1 1

Fill this void that is me.

This blankness,

This empty space.

A blank sheet that

Defies all the rules.

Fill this empty shell.

This puppet,

This cavity.

Long dried and hollow

Devoid of emotion.

I could lie at the bottom of consciousness,

Float at the brim of my depression,

Spill salt water with every wave.

I could tap at the fogged window.

While blurred figures of hope

Glide on the other side.

And watch the world go by.

Yes, I could watch the world pass me by.

Watch as the blurred figures fade,

Watch as the world dies.

While this void stretches and fills me.

Emptiness has never felt so suffocating.
