After the Fact. -Ethan winters x Fem reader-

You dreaded this day, today was the day Daisy would leave and go to the adoption center. You tried talking Ethan into letting her stay but he made good points, she and Rose weren't clicking and we had no room for her. The last thing you guys needed was a newborn in this house.

Chris arrived and you brought Daisy to him. "Please make sure her parents take good care of her. Please." You were hesitant to hand Daisy to Chris, but Ethan convinced you to and you did. She cried being in the hands of someone she didn't know, that made you tear up. Ethan walked you back to the house so you wouldn't cry more. "Thank you, Chris," Ethan said before closing the front door.

Rose crawled to you and you picked her up. "Mama!" she said as she pecked your cheek. "Mama!!" You said back, wiping your tears. "Nooo say dada!" Said Ethan while grabbing her and tickling her all over. You smiled and went upstairs, hearing your husband and daughter giggle together.

You sat at your desk and opened your emails, looking for one particular one. You scrolled and scrolled until you found it. A couple of days ago you started looking at houses, you remembered Ethan checked out a few and you went back and found the one he favored for later.

You emailed asking for a tour of the house, you'd be telling Ethan once Rose fell asleep. The tour was scheduled for tomorrow at noon, hopefully, y'all would have time.

Ethan brought Rose to bed and came and hugged you from the back while you were at your desk shopping for clothes. "Hi baby," you said while he squeezed you and let go. "Whatcha doing" he asked as you scrolled. "Clothes shopping, when am I not- I have something I need to ask you now that I remember" You spun around and faced Ethan.

He sat at the chair near the bookshelf with a confused look on his face. "Yea..?" You opened the tab of the house you two were going to look at tomorrow and handed your laptop to him.

He took it and scrolled, "what exactly am I looking at?" He asked while handing it back. "No no keep it, I scheduled us to go look at a house!" Ethan took the computer back and looked at the house. "Wait- this is the house I was looking at Wednesday!" You nodded with a smile and stood up grabbing your phone. "We go tomorrow, Mia already said she'd watch Rose." Ethan smiled and handed the computer back.

"This doesn't mean we are adopting Daisy y/n." He said, his smile dropping. "Oh no, I wasn't going there, I just want a house, bigger space for Rose and we could get a puppy!" You said closing the laptop and plugging it back in. "A puppy?" You nodded. "We could name him Duke?" You got up and sat down next to Ethan, he stayed quiet for a moment and then nodded. "Sounds good baby."

You jumped up and clapped, "Good! Now I'm gonna shower, rose threw up on me earlier, I feel gross." He nodded and you went to grab your clothes and hop in the shower.

Ethan got up and checked in on Rose after making sure she was asleep he made a bottle for her and put it next to her crib and laid down since he had showered already.

You got out of the shower, laid down next to your husband, and fell asleep. Ethan played with your hair until he fell asleep as well, but he couldn't.

Something just felt off.
