Chapter 3

Julia’s POV

I got out of my queen size bed to go open the door.  I wasn’t expecting anyone but I was thinking it would be my friends they loved being over all the time. I opened the door but it wasn’t my friends it was Jake, Tyler’s best friend. I wondered what he was doing here? How does he even know where I live?

“Oh.. Hi Jake? How do you know where I live?” I asked with confusion.

“I.. I…I asked Tyler.” He said shyly. He was so shy compared to Tyler. Tyler was more sociable which made me like him more. I was so shocked and happy that Tyler actually knew where I lived considering that we had been neighbors for about 8 months now.

“Do you wanna come in?” I asked politely.

“Ummm.. Sure I just wanted to ask you something.” He said as he was holding something behind his hands.

“Yeah?” I asked. In my head was going crazy. What if he asks me to prom? Do I say yes?

“Well you know we have a game before prom… I was wondering if you would wear my jersey to the game?”

That was a relief. I thought he was going to ask me to prom. OH GOD THAT would be weird.

“Uhhh… yeah I would love too but I think I won’t be able to make it to the game I have a job interview. “ I said with a soft tone.

“Ohh.” He said with a sad expression on his face.

I didn’t like seeing people get hurt or sad. “But if I get out early from my interview and make it to the game I will wear the jersey.” I said trying to make him smile.

His face lit up with a big smile. He handed me the jersey and gave me a hug. Ill admit Jake isn’t an ugly guy. He’s about 6’1, brown eyes, and little brown hair and tan skin. The only thing was that I liked his BFF. I knew that Jake liked me but I didn’t want to give him false hope. Hey but maybe it was a sign for me to move on from Tyler.

I watched a Jake walked to his car and once he left my driveway I called the girlies.

“YOU GUYS NEED TO COME OVER ASAP!”

With one simple call in 5 minutes they were all at my house.

“What happened?” Amber asked with eagerness.

“Yeah tell us!” screamed Ella.

“Is it about Tyler?” exclaimed Nora.

“Guys shh let her talk.” commanded Yasmine.

“Thanks Yassy… and sadly its not about Tyler but its related to him. So I was taking a nap and Jake came over.”

“ Wow wow wow JAKE!? The cutie? “ asked Nora.

“Uhmm yeah I guess… he asked me to wear his jersey for the game before prom, but I don’t think I’m going to make it to the game… I have a job interview but I didn’t want to be mean and say no. So I said that if I got out early and made it to the game that I would wear it.”

“DANNNNGG!!!” said Amber.

“He wants the V.” said Yasmine.

“You should just ditch the interview and go to the game.” said Ella.

“Uhmm no… have you forgotten that I still like Tyler. What am I going to do? What if Jake asks me to Prom? I don’t wanna be mean and say no. and I’m the only one left without a date.” I explained to the girls.

“It’s okay we can think about that later lets party!! I invited some friends over Julia!! So go get ready.” Said Amber.

“OMG Amber you’re lucky my parents aren’t home this month. You would get me grounded.” I screamed to amber as I went upstairs to get ready.

I decided to wear a black skirt with a bright pink crop top and my black pumps and curl my hair. I would also do natural make up and put on some of my Jessica Simpson perfume. I walked downstairs to see Tyler and all the guys from the soccer team at my house. OH GREAT!!

“Lets play truth or dare! And who ever doesn’t want to do their dare has to take a shot. ” announced Ella.

Amber and Nora weren’t really big drinkers but they did drink once in a while. Ella and Yasmine loved to party and DRINK. I didn’t really mind as long as I was having fun. 

After several rounds the bottle landed on Tyler.

“Ohhh I have a good one. 7 minutes in heaven with Julia!” shouted Amber.

I gave my You’re definitely death stare.

“Or take a shot.” said Ella. Oh my fucking God if he takes the shot I’m done.

“Well…” said Tyler taking his sweet time.
