Chapter 5

Julia’s POV

I walked outside and saw a trail of roses. Could Tyler really be up to all of this? I never knew he was this sweet. I kept following the trail until I saw a shadow. It didn’t look lie Tyler.

“Hello?” I said as the shadow turned around.

“Hey.” Said Jake with a big smile and a dozen roses in his hands.

“Jake? What are you doing here?” I asked confused and scream to see what he was going to say.

“I want to ask you something really important.” He said with a nervous tone.

“Yes?” I asked.

“Will you umm..” the sound of a mustang being turned on and driven down the street cut him of.

The only person who had a mustang on this street was Tyler. Why did he drive away? What the hell is Jake going to ask me? Oh God.  Should I just tell Jake I have a crush on his best friend. No that would crush him!

“Was that Tyler?” I asked Jake so that we could change the subject.

“Yeah, who knows where he is going?” he said questioning why I was asking.

“So as I was saying will you go to …” he was continuing to say.

“Wait Jake before you say anything I have to tell you something.” I interrupted.

Oh great now what am I going to say? I am horrible under pressure. OH gosh Julia come up with something.

“What? Tell me.” He said in a sad tone.

“Jake can I tell you a secret?” I asked him. Should I tell him?

“What?” he said.

“ Pinky promise not to tell?” I asked him sticking out my pinky.

“Who am I going to tell? Well only Tyler he’s my best friend.” He said.

“No! Not even Tyler!” I screamed.

“Why?” he asked.

“Because… it has to do with him.” I said.

“What?” he said lowering his head.

“ I’ve had a crush on Tyler for three years now.” I finally spat out.

“REALLY??” he said with watery eyes.

“ I’m sorry Jake I should’ve told you sooner. I have tried to move on but I can’t I just can’t.” I said with a sad expression.

“No I understand. Its fine.” That was all he said before walking away and throwing the flowers in the trash.

 Can this night get any worse? Once I walked into my house I noticed it was a mess and myself as the neat freak I am I started to clean even though it was 1 am in the morning. The girls were still in the pool so they didn’t know what had happened. I started with the kitchen then the living room. I went to the table where we had been playing truth or dare and say a wallet. I was a brown coach wallet. I opened it to see the name say Tyler Angel Abracan. Oh just great now I had to go face Tyler and give him his wallet. I should just wait till tomorrow morning. I decided to text him and let him know that he could come tomorrow.

“ Hey so I was cleaning my house and you left your wallet here. You can come get it tomorrow.” I said in the text.

5 minutes passed and still no reply. Then 10 passed. Soon it was about to be 2:30 am and as soon as I finished cleaning the house there was a knock on the door. The girls were all upstairs watching all the Seasons of Jane by Design. I opened the door.

“Hey I got your text.” Tyler said.

“Oh yeah I have your wallet. Want to come inside?” I asked him.

“Uhmm no I’m fine.” He said.

I went to get the wallet that I had left in the kitchen. What if Jake told him? What’s going to happen?

“Here you go.” I said handing him his wallet.

“Julia can we talk?” he asked.

“Uhmm sure about what?” I asked nervously.

“Well I know we don’t really talk but Jake to me…” he said.

Wow! I lost all my respect for Jake he promised he wouldn’t tell and yet he did. My life is over someone jut kill me.
