Part 21

Hayden's PoV

"It's just a tiny needle why are you so scared?" Imogen laughs as we head towards the canteen where the blood drive is being held. "I have a phobia Imogen! I mean ... what if I pass out?" I begin to panic desperately looking at my sister. "Why did you sign up in the first place?" Imogen looks up at me still laughing as a scowl at her. "Why did I sign up? Noa could put anything in front of me and I'd friggin sign it" Imogen turns away from me attempting to hide her smile. "Well here goes" she pats me on the shoulder as I throw my head back and walk into the canteen. "Hayden! Thanks for donating your in booth 3" tabby smiles at me, what's with all these people being happy about being poked and prodded. "Thanks" I mumble and turn round seeing I'm in the booth next to creepy chip. Wonderful. Walking over I can see a nurse standing waiting for me ... holding a needle. "Not today" I panic and turn round. As I turn to walk away I see my beautiful noa walk into the canteen holding hand aids. Throwing a small tantrum I turn back round to the demon nurse lady.

As the blood is literally being sucked out of me my beautiful girlfriend appears "hey babe, look at you". Giving her a small smile she takes the seat beside me "are you ok?". "I'm afraid of needles" I pant out looking anywhere but my arm. "Babe why did you sign up?" Noa slightly laughs looking at me. "You asked me too" Noa blushes at my confession and kisses my cheek. "Thank you handsome ... for being so brave" she teases and points behind her "I better go help Kelly, are you ok?" She places her hand in my free one and gives it a slight squeeze. "Yeh I'm ok" noa cups my face placing a quick kiss to my lips before turning round to help Kelly. Thankfully a few moments later the nurse lets me go "thank you for donating, here's a cookie for your blood sugar. You can sit over there for a few minutes". Walking over towards ash with my cookie in hand, I take the seat beside him "that was traumatic" "mhm tell me about it, can I have your cookie?". Turning round to him shocked "absolutely not, I worked hard for this cookie" he laughs as I take a huge bite of it.

Noas PoV

Having to let Hayden's hand go as we leave the school is just hurting now. I don't know how much longer I can hide this from my mom. Hayden never questions it or mentions telling my mom, she's so patient. Walking outside with Hayden, the girls and Kelly we meet my mom by her car. "Is this everything?" She looks down at the bag of cotton blood swabs and swabs from the locker room. "Yeah, from today and the locker room" I reply handing over the bag to her. "And we have the names of every boy who donated blood" "what happens now?" Kelly asks my mom, I'm surprised how keen she is to help us. "I drop this off with my friend at the lab, and ... then we wait. A week or two" my mom smiles at us all before turning round and walking back to her car.

"Two weeks. We can make it two weeks" we all decided to head for pizza, Hayden's sitting next to me as she digs in to our shared pizza. "Yeah" Imogen nods, the only one now eating being Hayden. Running my hand up and down her back she smiles at me briefly with her lips covered in pizza grease. "In the mean time... this is feeling kind of anti climatic" turning to mouse I nod agreeing with her. "Mhm, it's the classic post oceans 11 crash after a caper" tabby points making us all laugh, well everyone except Hayden who is too engrossed in her pizza. "Yeah and a shitty thanksgiving tomorrow" I'm glad Kelly decided to join us for pizza, we wouldn't have been able to do it without her. "So, let's have fun tonight. Let's go out" Faran smiles at me wickedly. I'm getting excited just thinking about it "to a bar?". Faran turns to me before looking at everyone else "to a club that doesn't ID that Henry told me about". "Are you seriously suggesting that we go clubbing?" Imogen looks at Faran like she's lost it. "Guys, Madame Giry told me she's pushing Giselle for a year. I need to dance, even if it's in some shitty, hole in the wall club" having finally finished her pizza Hayden leans back in her chair. "I mean, can't we take one night off from the horror show of our lives?" Faran looks around as her eyes land on Hayden "Hayden you in?". "In what?" Hayden lifts her top up resting her hands on her full stomach. "For a night out... a night at the club" Faran exasperates across the table. Looking quickly at me and then back to Faran "I can't I promised ash I would teach him to board tonight". "Tell ash to come, I'm sure mouse would love it" Faran nudges mouse who instantly blushes. "Why don't you girls enjoy your night out just you guys? Actually enjoy an evening together" Hayden looks round everyone as her focus lands on me. "You sure?" I ask her as she nods kissing my cheek. "Just us girls" I turn to the girls as I wrap my arms around Hayden's neck.
