Minduelle didn't turn her head as a door opened and closed behind her. She kept her eyes closed as a blanket was wrapped around her shoulders and he sat beside her, remaining quiet for several moments.
"I heard what happened."
Minduelle opened her eyes slightly to look down at the bowl that had been placed in her lap.
"You need to eat." He spoke gently, his eyes on her. "Hyung said you never did."
"I can't live without her."
"Well, I'll, not live with you." Jimin laid his head on Minduelle's shoulder. "But we're going to get through this, whatever happens. We're going to get through it together."
Minduelle opened her eyes, staring out at the city from BTS' backyard. "Thanks, Jimin."
"Anything for you, Noona."
"I can't believe I was so reckless." Minduelle shook her head. "I'm such a slut."
"You're not a slut, Minduelle." Jimin wrapped his arms around her arm, hugging her in his own way. "And I would've been reckless too. No one blames you for what happened."
"I blame myself." Minduelle poked at the food in her lap. "I'm sure Jungkook blames me."
"Jungkook would never blame you." Jimin reassured, giving her arm a squeeze. "I heard he was so worried about you last night. Jin said he didn't leave your side."
"'Heard?'" Minduelle frowned, under the assumption all of the boys knew she was missing last night.
Jimin hesitated for a moment. "The boys don't like stressing me out with things, so I get notified about things after they've been settled down." Jimin hummed softly. "I have a history of being reckless too."
Minduelle was quiet, thinking it over. She never spoke to Jimin about her trauma with her father for that exact reason. That and Jimin is too precious for such angst. She couldn't do that to him.
"How are you feeling today?" Jimin changed topics, Minduelle looking over at him as he sat up from her. "Think you can do some public socializing?"
Minduelle shrugged. "I guess."
Jimin picked up the bowl from her lap and stood up, holding out his hand. "Come on. We're going to hang out today."
-
"Are you sure?" Minduelle asked, slowly unbuckling herself.
"Of course!" Jimin cheered, not even getting a mask out. "I rented the place out for a couple of hours!"
Minduelle frowned, mildly confused. "What if I turned down going out with you?"
"Then I'd still have the place for a couple of hours!" Jimin laughed, grabbing his phone. "Come on, let's go get the treatment we deserve."
Minduelle looked back at the nail salon they were parked in front of, taking a deep breath at the next thing on her agenda. 'Alright. You can do this. You can relax.'
But even as she followed Jimin inside the salon, a tiny voice in her mind still whispered, 'You could be spending this time with your grandmother. What if she dies tonight. You'd have wasted an entire day of time on something so stupid.'
'But is my mental health stupid?' Minduelle didn't recognize this voice. She never thought like this. Have the boys really rubbed off on her that much?
"I think I'll just get a clear coat for my manicure and this red for my pedicure." Jimin showed Minduelle the red in the color book. "What do you think?"
