Chapter -17

Jasmine. POV .

I woke up at 5:00 am because I have to  go to the entrance of the forest where elder's person will pick me up. When I told about this to the twins they didn't want me to go but after making them understand they agreed.

I decided to wear a black lower and a black hoodie. I also wore a mask and put my hair in a bun. For breakfast I made a smoothie and by 5:30 am twins were here to pick me up. I left my apartment and saw twins in their formal attire. Mark was wearing white shirt and black pants and Max was wearing Blue shirt and Black pants. They both were looking handsome. Mark came forwards and hugged me and asked

"How was you sleep?"

"It was amazing ." I replied.

After leaving his hug Max asli hugged me and together we left to my destination. Their car is big black  and comfortable car. I was sitting in the back side. I told them about the upcoming project and some information regarding the work . They both listened and also gave out some suggestions. My destination was twenty minutes away from my home and when we reached the entrance of the forest I was elder's person was waiting for me. He was wearing Blue jeans and white shirt and he was also wearing a mask and a beanie. When he saw me coming he got attentive and nodded at the twins and together we left in his cars. The twins saw me leaving and then they left after I hugged them goodbye.

I have told the twins that half an hour before leaving I will call them and they agreed because waiting here will be too much.

That man brought me to the place where I grew up. It was a shadow house built in between trees so it is impossible to locate from the drone. It is to protect us. The government knows about it but never intervenes as we don't do anything illegal and also helps the government out whenever they need help.

When I entered the house many of the people there were unfamiliar and I have never really seen anyone's face because we always wear mask so that in future when we leave no one can identify you. I did see some familiar eyes and we bowed as greeting to each other and then that man brought me to elder's room where I saw Elder Thomas sitting and praying in front of a dragon statue. That man left and without looking back Elder Thomas said

"Jasmine,sit beside me. "

This room was big as there was bed, a bookshelf and huge windows. There was a place allocated for praying in the room.
I quickly removed my shoes and washed my feet in the flowing water as there is a small canal of flowing water built inside his room and dried my feet and sat beside him. Elder Thomas is blind but his senses are strong and can know who it is without asking.  He has closed his eyes and was meditating when I came came and without opening his eyes he said

"There was once a Princess who was kidnapped by a dragon and kept in a castle to whom the King's knight rescued after beheading the Dragon. But in reality the Princess and the dragons were mates and the Knight was a dragon hunter. After killing the dragon he imprisoned the princess and abused his powers after becoming the King. Earlier humans used to Worship dragons but after the knight killing the dragon infants mercilessly the dragons started hiding from the human world. They were very strong but they knew it that their retaliation will only lead to havoc. And slowly the dragons became they myths. There were also Dragon saviours who were devoted to dragons. They had magical powers which no one knows about. They were very secretive and some says that they were also shapeshifters which have not been heard of and were as strong as Dragons. To avenge the dragons as the saviours considered Dragons as their idols. The wiped off the entire clan of dragon hunters due to which there was almost a war between the dragons and dragon saviours. Humans also started getting suspicious about the existence of dragons and other supernatural beings. Dragon saviours were the one who built up the wealth and connections for the dragons and Dragons's indifference broke their trust towards them because in their fight with the hunters their clan almost went extinct. They were heartbroken and with the few of the beings they left the human world and went to seclusion only to be never heard from them again. Saving the hunters was a mistake by Dragons because they came back for revenge. They started experimenting on other supernatural beings to make themselves stronger as they always have negative obsession towards Dragons. They didn't even leave humans from the experiment and created many beings of different species to create a stronger hunter. But so many infants died due to this and till now they have no be successful and I rescued from one of their experimenting sites. I don't know who were you parents and how you got there but I couldn't leave you in the human world to be experimented on and now look you . The strongest one in our clan and saving others. I am proud of you. There are so many theories that the princess was not a human or that it was the elder dragons scheme to kill the dragon who was about to become the dragon's king or that dragon's saviours were tired of the mistreatment they were recieving from the dragons. No one has any idea and those who did has long died. Now we can only make sure that no one else dies and the world remains peaceful. "

I never knew that there was such a story begins dragons and there was the sacrifice of so many beings for the peace and then I asked elder

"Then what's the scenario of today?"

"Till now also Hunters has not stopped . The bulky guy you fought was a hunter. And still they are kidnapping infants. It is very difficult for drago mates to get pregnant as dragons as the top tier species and usually they are very protective of their kid. This time it was by chance that they got a hold of kid after almost letting hundreds of their members killed but thank God you were able to save it. And now dragons are more cautious. It is very rare for dragons to be mated to humans and I don't know what you are because you are like a powerhouse of all the species. You don't have any traits of the supernatural species but your power is far from them. So how is it's adjusting with your mates?"

He told me.

"How did you know that I have dragon mates ?"

"When a person is mated to dragon they get a dragon mark and when you told me about yours I guessed it and I can feel your spirit entangled with theirs and you are also carrying their scent even if you are wearing masking spray. " He answered.
