PART 2-LUCY CHEN

Monday, 8:00 am, where we last left off.

•Charlotte's POV•

Tim seemed really stressed when he picked up the phone so I decided I would be the calm one and help him because two panicking people make one disaster.

"What's wrong, is something happening?" I said in the calming voice I tried to do but I don't think I did it very well. 

"We need to get to where Chen was last located. You need to ask on the radio where her last call was and then we go there but for now just focus on the first part and tell me when you know. I'll explain later." I nod and reach for the radio.

"She's at (location)." I say, not expecting him to hear me so fast and start speeding. I got a bit scared because of the impact of my head hitting the seat. I quickly turn on the lights and sirens so people know we're coming and we don't crash.

"What's happening?" He doesn't answer so I ask again, "Officer Bradford I need to know." He didn't answer so I put my hand on his shoulder to get his attention. "Tim you're putting mine and your life at risk, I need to know." Tim sighed and started talking.

"I'm sorry, Lucy is in trouble and I don't know what's happening but if you want you can stay in the car." He suddenly stops the car and opens the door but unexpected to him I opened mine too.

He smiles and grabs his gun. He makes hand signals to me to go behind him and I do what he says but the weird thing is that we didn't hear anything, just silents.

We were walking but all of a sudden I see Tim trip on some sort of wire and it makes a lot of noise. "Shit Charlotte." I turn off my safety and get ready for gunshots but none come. I take one of my hands off the gun but still on the trigger and I help Tim up." We start walking again and everyone is sleeping but Lucy and some guy. He's looking around, knife to her throat. He's half asleep though which is weird. This feels like a trap and I think we both notice but we don't say anything.

He gives me another hand signal so I went in front of him and went inside, by the time I entered the run down room they were in he had already fallen asleep. I told Chen to stay quiet with my finger and she did exactly that and I gave her my gun and handcuffed him. Tim handcuffed the other guy with some struggle like me but we kept them quiet with the guns while un-arming them.

We all handcuffed the rest of them and waited for backup and when that showed up so did the other rookies. I went straight to them and said hi. I felt someone's hand on my shoulder and I turned around and slapped the person. I immediately regretted it because I saw it was Lucy.

"OMG I'M SO SORRY!" I gasp. Tim went to help her because she was shocked. I guess I slapped her hard because her hand was on her face and her mouth was open. I went to go see if she was okay but Tim told me to back up.

"Charlotte stop! You already did enough, you're getting a blue page." Lucy was shocked and I didn't know what I could do so I went inside the car and just sat there thinking. 

Tim enters the car and starts driving around, we didn't talk. I think this is worse than we think it was going to be. It's like we're not compatible at all.

"Listen-" we both say at the same time. "Go ahead." We both say at the same time again. We laugh for the first time since we met each other. "You go." He says.

"I'm sorry for hitting Lucy, I just didn't expect to be touched. my past makes it hard to trust and build a relationship with someone or even talking to someone. I'm sorry it happened and it won't ever again. You can still blue page me." I say. 

He sighs, "I know you didn't mean it and so does Lucy so that's why we both agreed not to blue page you but she wants to talk to you and meet you the right way." I make a loud sigh of relief, he does the same again and we both smile at each other. He's softer now that we talked it out. He seems bearable.

"Okay so now that we have that out of the way, I was thinking and maybe-" We hear the radio go off, cutting me off. "Drunk guy on Hollywood." I grab the radio. "Show 7 Adam 15 responding." I put it down and he turns the lights on and I continue to yap about Lucy, asking questions about her.
